How to 'throw' C4 (as SpecOps)

I am getting to grips with the Special Ops class ~ but one thing I still have problem with is getting to a safe distance before letting off my C4...

Sometimes I let my C4 off too early as I suspect my victim is about to shoot me before I can let off my bomb...

SO -

I think I read in the BF2 manual (which I went and mis-placed) that you can 'throw' the C4 varying distances by holding down a key or something ()...

Is this right ~ and how do you do it?

The other thing that confused me was that thing where you drop the last C4 and the whole lot blows up!

you can thrown it by moving foreward&jumping as you left-click to place the packs. I lobbed a few ovew a wall one of the times I got you the other night Handy fo staying within/nearer cover!

there is a good movie that shows some special skills, including C4 chucking.

If you go to the "files" section of x-fire and then "popular downloads", it's near the top and is called "The Final Stand (TFS) BF2 Skills Movie".

I particularly like the chopper skills and the Tank artist (he's brilliant imho)
