See the spec of the server he has:

Adaptec 3200S Ultra3 Dual Channel RAID card with 128MB cache and battery backup, connected to two Hot-swap hard drive bays, supporting ten 1" SCSI hot-swap drives

Six 18GB 10,000 RPM Ultra2 SCSI drives in RAID 1 mirrored configuration.

All housed in a nice air conditioned room at 20degC   Great in the summer! Always find something to tweak when it's really hot.  :lol:
