WoWAce has a tool available called WinAceUpdater (WAU), which provides you with an easy automated way to keep all your Ace add-ons (which means about every add-on I use now) up to date.

As WAU updates the very latest version that at all times is available at the http://files.wowace.com/ repository, the following "warning" is included about it:
QuoteThese are BETA addons you are updating and you should expect to see cutting edge features which may not be fully functional or bug-free. If this doesn't sound appealing for you, stop reading this page and update your addons through release versions from mod sites instead. Some addons are more beta than others.
Does anyone have any experience with WAU? As in, how beta the betas are, if it's possible to roll back to the previous version of an add-on if you find that the one you just downloaded were a bit too beta etc?

I would really love to give this a try, as almost all my add-ons are Ace2 based.

Also, getting your hand at the very freshest versions of an add-on can come with advantages such as CPU and memory improvements, new features and so on - the only question is, is it worth it with the risk of getting the occasional over-bugged beta version?
Which shouldn't be a problem anyhow if that roll-back feature I was asking about exists.

I have been using it trouble-free for many months.  Zero problems to date.  I'm a big supporter of it, particularly just after a patch as I run it several times a day then and it picks up all the updates in the last few hours etc.  The Beta note has been highlighted mor eprominently recently, but I have never had a bug or a crash from it.
