Just finished watching The Who at Glastonbury. Superb. :D

Oh and the song by Seasick Steve afterwards was fantastic.

brilliant, but don't yuo Hate Mark Radcliffe?

Jo whiley obviously does, just look at her body language, legs crossed away, leaning away, no eye contact.

he is crap:sideways:

I was interested to hear them discuss the lack of eye contact between Daltrey and Townsend because I picked up on it during their set.

Ok. Radcliffe is annoying but Jo Whiley couldn't recognise 'Won't get fooled again' as a classic. Tart.

TeaLeaf

It was a good set, but the Daltry voice is defintely not just on the way out but distinctly gone.  That may account for the lack of eye contact - Pete was wincing and embarrassed.

Afraid to say my ears have never really gotten on with The Who, but that doesn't mean i know they are talented and have a great stage persona. :D

They're playing on Roskilde the coming days and I can't be there :frusty: One of the names on my 'would love to see list'. But, okay, that list also includes Metallica on the 13th of July in Jutland, Denmark, as well, which I WILL be able to see :D

sorry, but I can't stand Jo Whiley, and I stopped listening to Radio 1 on a point of principle when they got rid of Mark Radcliffe and Lard from the schedules.  In my student days they were the best thing on the radio :crying:

Great to see the Who oldie, but it just ain't the same these days with only the two of them
If I wanted you to understand I would have explained it better

T-Bag

They played about a 10min drive away from me not long back (3-4 weeks) and I considered it and thought, although they're probably still very good it might be a little disappointing seeing them live in person. But would have enjoyed watching them on tv.

Nope. And have to agree with TL about the Daltrey voice.

Oh well. There's always Pink Floyd to look forward to next year

I'm sticking with "The Kid's are Alright" DVD. An absolute masterpiece. I will never be lucky enough to see them properly but it's the closest anyone can get these days. Everytime I stick it on for a few minutes I always end up watching the full 2-3 hours. Millions of extras including a focus on John Entwistle's bass playing. Jeez that guy could play...

You can hear Mark with Stuart Macaroni on Radio 2 quite a few evenings if you so wish.
