f'eh. Okay new problem, can't play wildwest assault, it crashes, used the download from the homepage, any ideas?

I had problems after a fresh instal of CS with that map. Try replacing the WAD file. Find it here http://people.freenet.de/cstrikestuff/wads.htm  with other WAD files.

It fixed it for me.
