We need to 'encourage' more people to the steak night on the Friday.

I don't think we can enforce it though - or can we?

Just a thought but... what if something social took place during the meal? I was just thinking that if the steak is not was drags people in there, it is the fun and social aspects of us all there... If only it was saturday, then you could place the price ceremony etc. before dinner or... after dinner, but before dessert :flirty:

One thought could be to present the tournaments/events for Saturday. Also maybe drawing the teams. Presenting the results/awards from the previous LAN.

The Steak Night has to be Friday really as by Saturday everyone's too knacked to do much.

Prizes are thefore a no-no, but we can certainly set the tenor for Saturday, draw for the matches, competitions and generally blag people that we're doing something useful I guess.

Would be too much having a bowler hat and then stuff it with the names of peeps for the cs comps, and then sort the teams on the fly? People can then moan when Mats and Butta join teams again :wink: etc.

i dont think that we should do the big CS tourney by tables this time, random draw generally brings fairer teams and causes less dispute about the same people winning.

can we make the steak night compulsory for the lan or is that being to dictorail?

I don't think we can make it mandatory really. However we can heavily "suggest" that people attend. Even if they don't want steak there's other, cheaper options.

If we draw the teams etc on the Friday night then that will give people added incentive to come along (hopefully).

If we were being particularly mean we could say that we're only drawing teams from those people eating in the restaurant that night. However, I don't want to be too draconian and the idea is for everyone to have a good time. Nothing worse than resentment brewing as we've forced people to eat in.

I think people will get the message if they haven't already.
