After the last lan it was brought to the attention of the admins that there were aspects of behaviour at the lan that we need to adress.

Although we do have a lot of the run of the hotel, we cannot treat it all the way we treat the LAN room.

I know that I am not the most "politically correct" of people when i have had a few, hence i will have to remember to restrain myself as much as the next person.

Please watch your language and behaviour in the public areas of the hotel - in the lan room we have more or less "carte blanche" to swear / cuss / abuse each other, just please do not let it spill over in to the public areas of the hotel.

Just a little reminder that we need to keep on the hotels good side.

Sheepy appears and begins to stroke my head. According to his slurred drunken speech I am "lovely and like a fuzzy felt". Thankfully he soon leaves and passes out somewhere. [/quote]

Aye Sheep. I know we all get exuberant and carried away and it is something that we collectively need to watch.

For me, to walk into the bar and have someone yell - "Hey Pen you daft cu*t" at me across a crowded room makes me die a little inside.

From a PR/Hotel perspective....

We spend a lot of time and effort keeping the hotel happy and this is thing that could scupper it. In the LAN room it's a bit different but in the public areas we have to moderate our talk and behaviour. People pay good money to come for dinner to the OC and we don't want to see their evenings ruined and complaints being made about us.

As we've discussed before, we need the hotel more than they need us.
