Aion's Open Beta, Pre-Select and Headstart Programs Share

Within the next four weeks, we will treat European and North American gamers to two opportunities to jump into the world of Aion and explore Atreia as Asmodian or Elyos characters ahead of its release in Europe on 25nd September and North America 22th September. Aion's Open Beta Test featuring version 1.5 will take place 6-13th September and will include numerous Western enhancements, including improvements to Aion's innovative character customization with a host of Western styles, as well as new zones, instances, skills, quests and continued game balancing and improvements. Open Beta will retain a level cap for both Elyos and Asmodians characters at 30 allowing players to focus on getting to the same level so they can explore the lands of Atreia together, as well as the Abyss.

Players who have pre-ordered Aion will be treated to a Pre-Select and a two-day Headstart period giving them the opportunity to explore, organize and progress through the game prior to the official launch. Pre-Select will take place on 18th September, while Aion's Headstart will begin 20th September. Players can still participate in the Aion's Pre-Select and Headstart programs by pre-ordering the game through several participating online and brick-and-mortar retailers.

Looks like it's confirmed, Euro players get a 5 day headstart (if they preorder)!

I've read some angry messages on bol.com site that i'm pretty much screwed.
They are shipping the box so that we get it the 25th, and not 20th. Hope its not true

They will ship the box on the 24th so you get it the 25th however the codes will be send 3 weeks before the launch so you should be able to attend the headstart and such. Those angry messages on bol.com also were there for the closed beta codes and those got send as well, so my guess is you will get the codes in time.
The translated quote from their site would be something like: Get 3 weeks earlyer acces to the servers so you can pick a world and create a character, start with a headstart of 48 hours and you get 3 unique items who will enchane your characted (Note: The codes will be send 3 weeks before the release)

I got mine direct from NCSoft, so no worries about getting my codes.

But yeah, everyone else I know who preordered a boxed copy got their closed beta codes in time, no reason to suspect there'll be any problems for release.

Small patch today which allows the game to launch using the latest 1.5 version.  Login servers aren't up yet so you can't play, but there's a new background intro trailer with the 1.5 patch which might be worth a watch.

Historically they open the game servers at 8pm BST.

I think ill buy it from play.com as its only Ã,£24.99 there, although im still not 100% sure if i will get it. And even if your playing it from the release date the servers are sure to be full and playing/questing will be a nightmare.

Being honest thats why i kinda slacked on the beta, gonna rush from the headstart as i bought the CE to get as far away from the starter zone so that i avoid that
