Bad news:
I have an endowment policy, which any financial journalist will automatically tell you is bad.  My local priest will probably also tell me that I also need to repent for having been so foolish and to go and sacrifice several of my young in order to pay sufficient penance.

Good news:
My 25 year endowment policy matured a couple of days ago and I just got the maturity letter through the post today and it told me that the maturity value was 137% of what it was targeted to repay.

A February computer upgrade has been given the green light by management and a chunk'o'mortgage is being repaid.   Happy days and it all started 25 years ago!  I know they've not been rosy for everyone in the past, but I was chuffed with the size of return!

Great news TL.
My Scottish Widows endowment matured 4 years ago, with enough to clear the mortgage and buy a new Hyundai i10, so you'll hear no complaints from me regarding the product. :D
