Seems with the latest patch we can finally call down the Great Obsidian Wind. As discussed this will give our Ender Sacks and Nether Pods an increased chance of invoking + 20 slime resistance. I've already created 200 hybrid fire pigs but can't even begin to create crystal carrots without the Hoe of Woe. As I'm working in the Extreme Hills Biome my chances of mining up some collapsible brick is about zero. If someone who's mining in the Jungle or Crispy Biomes can get at least 50 brick to combine with the zombie dribble that I already have we're good to go on the Hoe of Woe. The zombie dribble is in the cavern below Happy Castle. Remember though to wear sticky boots before entering..... we all know what happened to Liberator last time

Whatever's gone wrong it's not my fault.

Yeah, yeah, it could have happened to anyone.

I've almost got enough Neutron Quartz to build the Quantum minecart, that way I can travel back to before it happened and stop myself. From what I've seen this will only effect my time-line and the rest of you will stay as you are. But this does mean that I'll have the 'Spade of Aces' back and we can use that to separate the skele's heads and take their bone marrow, that combined with  the spider venom that I'm milking from the spawners will allow you to farm the crystal carrots once you have the hoe.

Apparently the new patch allows you to use a spell book of 'realization' to turn a Hoe of Promise into the Hoe of Woe, negating the need to find collapsible brick entirely.

We're nearly there.

Be carefull. Make sure you have enough gold before attempting to convert the Hoe of Promise or else it becomes the Hoe of Denial.
I do exactly what the little voices tell me to.

PC Specs:- Black box with some fans that go whirrr, a few lights, things inside that get warm, headphones, keyboard (a clicky one), mouse (with buttons and no squeak), disks (2-off SSD and HDD) and a monitor of sufficient proportions.

Gold has not had an effect on the process since patch 1.4.5.32.

On a plus note, I've manage to find a large seam of non-ferric iron down at the freezing lava level of my mine. If there turns out to be enough of it we can made some power armour of hurt for the team to withstand the initial blast from the Obsidian Wind.

But I need an electric glass pick to get it out intact. Oldie use his up building the gloom sphere, so does anyone else have one made or have some plasma sand to forge one.

Sparko

I have some plasma sand but but I don't have enough slime to grind it to make enough electric for it to turn to glass. I have + 30 pig power though which I could throw on the glass carrot cage to ignite the wind. It might be a good idea to trap the obsidian wind via the cloud barn.

Just an idea :g:

Cloud Barn is only good for both Sapphire and Agate Winds, we'd need a Karalation Windbreak for the Obsidian wind and unfortunately we have nowhere near enough atom sheep to produce the amount of monothread cloth to build one this side of the jade moon cycle, by which time properties change and if becomes useless.

From what I've read, the Karalation Windbreak only knocks off 1 thaumic cell anyway, we can better use the resources on the next boss.

Bring the plasma sand over though, don't taint it with throbbing slime or it becomes useless for making an electric glass pick.

I have a fully change folly forge what can convert it with a 39% chance of it becoming electric blue glass, which I don't have to tell you how useful that will be when we get to the dread biomes later.

Sparko

Ok will bring the plasma sand over to the turn tray of ignious. I also have more cannon brush which should help boost the folly forge and in turn cooks the electric blue glass quicker so it would turn to 67%. Let me know if it helps and I will create more from the comedian silk chest and add more plasma sand

I know I'm not as advanced as you guys but I dug down deeper than Barry White and stumbled across a cavern full of ghoul grease. Is it worth anything? Does it craft into anything?

Without the support of large
inventory stockpiles and many
noble MC players,you'll not
deliver the Obsidian Wind
under the current
patch level without more cows.

Btw your stockpiles are low, you definitely need more cows for this.
Seriously, you also need one these:

Ah yes you can use that to lubricate the ghoulies if you're lucky enough to get the Hoe of Promise.

Pardon me, thought I read "lubricate your ghoulies".
