Yeah great game,I seem to be missing the start of the nights game's lately, must try to get sorted earlier. :(

I don't know how long we'd been playing but it seemed an age. Then I glanced up and saw 420 odd tickets left! The fight went out of me.  :(  I was enjoying the hell out of it up till then. What's the matter with you lot, are you masochists?

Wasnae me.

I managed to stay away from squad leading tonight, except for starting a new squad and then joining the main one when there was enough room for us all (although I do tend to be vocal).

tough game. I enjoyed it but I had a headache by the end. <_<  It's very hard as US to push the mech back on 32 player maps let a lone the big one.

Just to explain the tickets. you can not select exactly how many tickets you want for each map, you select a ticket ration. so to get a  small map to have 200 tickets the large maps end up with 500. Sorry if it went on to long

It might have gone on a long time, but what a game  :D

Apologies for anyone who was on the recieving end of my 'noob tube'  :narnar:

Great games guys.

I think one of the 'problems' with the tickets was the number of highly effective medics. It seemed nearly every time one of us fell they were brought back. I know I was zapped by Lib loads of times - miond he did then get carried away and stopped using the gun whilst going for the most paddle kills in one game.

Serious fun.

It was only a couple of peeps...and they stopped after a while (1 immediately, apologising after it was explained )

I think the problem is the warning text isn't shouty enough...plus we have non english speakers (yanks :P )

it'd be nice if the admin could spam the screen with a big "NO TANKS!" right accross the screen instead of some piddly little text way up left.

Karkand was a blast :D

I love sunday infantry only

Thing is mate, from our point of view, those tanks effectively ruined a good game - they rolled upto the mosque on a number of occaisions, killed everyone (as we had no ATers on our side) took the flag and spoilt the game - stopping us from moving on or even being able to defend the flag. You should have heard the cursing on our team!  :ranting:

As you say, we need a more noticeable way of warning people of our rules if possible.

Not surprisingly mate, you did a great job of SL though as did Big-Paddy and Birthday boy  :)

big-paddy

Yeah the tank really did spoil it for a while.

Was he not using comms and not seeing the text or just ignorant? We were all calling for him to be kicked it was just so frustrating.

Untill you can remove unwanted vehicles your always gonna get people jump in the biggest thing they can find, only other way I could see of stopping it would be to lock the server as generally we all know whats going on with the server on set nights.

Its true. But ppl do usually respond to requests to stop. This guy just kept coming when the whole screen was full of text telling him to stop and I bet you guys were giving him stick as well.

I agree with you Rizzy, however its good for us to get pubbies in as we may be able to recruit more members.

I think there is away of actually removeing vehicles, not sure whats involved but playing on TG last night and no air vehicles spawned.Unless its only a land/sea/air split it may be worth investigating.

They were either ignorant, or didn't understand English too well.  I think they were German.  The problem was once we got one guy straightened out for using the tank, a different one jumped in.  Rinse, repeat.  At one point I even stood in front of the newly spawned USMC tank, typing messages to the driver to get out.  All the time he was spamming "Get in!" at me, and then almost ran me over.

I was issuing multiple warnings to players, and actually kicked one guy in the Mashtuur round, and another on Fushe afterwards.  I'm sorry it wasn't done sooner, but our admin rules state we have to give a clear warning before a player kick.  Once it's obvious a player isn't paying any attention, we can then kick them.  A server ban follows if they rejoin and play-up again.

I think part of the problem is that so much green text fills the top left of the screen with AAS capture info spam, server messages and the like, that player warnings can be missed quite easily.

For me, both of those maps were a real pain.  I spent more time, typing messages than I did actually playing.  I'm still learning the admin ropes though, so if you guys can tell me if there's any areas I can improve upon then let me know.
