Should we run an SF server 1 or 2 nights a week

Now we have 20 people with SF it seems silly not to use it. So the question on you often and when do we run it?

I would say 2 nights a week. say Sundays and Thursday to start with and see how it goes.

Yep, definately...

Despite some of the moans there are a few terrific maps in SF - Mass Destruction, Surge, Ghost Town and Warlord (all daytime maps note!).

The ZIP Wire, flashbangs and FN SCAR rifles provide a bit of variety - and for Oldie there is the BMP (baby tank!)...

I know some critisize the extra 'omph' that SF seems to require - but why not do what people did in the old days of Internet gaming and turn down your graphics to compensate?

Personally, it's the game and not the scenery that interests me anyway.

Anyway - that's what I think! :)

Ghost Town would be fantastic fun with the dMw gang - though I take it we will have to play non-AAS for a while?

Sounds good, though perhaps we should try it for one night first and see how that goes?

I vote for Sundays.  :)

I know, if we have two servers (SF and regular) we will end up with two half-filled servers... but could we not have a SF server running 24/7 for a while so we can goof around a bit and test stuff? Like weapons, physics and the new nice gimmicks :)

I know, I can create my own local server but... it is often fun just to goof around with a few dMw's or whoever drops by :)

Please, admins? :worship:

Why, I had the AAS code ready within a week of the game being released and its been sat on the server doing nothing since then. The routes are pinned to the top of the forum. Here

We were waiting for Santa to do the business and put SF in everyones stockings before putting the server up. Possible because there were only 6 of us on it the first time we tried.

Sn00ks

Didn't your Daddy buy it for your Christmas present?

What a nasty, stingy old man he must be, not to spoil his boy on a special day!
I do exactly what the little voices tell me to.

PC Specs:- Black box with some fans that go whirrr, a few lights, things inside that get warm, headphones, keyboard (a clicky one), mouse (with buttons and no squeak), disks (2-off SSD and HDD) and a monitor of sufficient proportions.

If you want to make the server unavailable for everyone to play on would it not be possible to pick a less popular night? It's not possible for everyone to get online & play all the time & Sundays usually get busy I'd guess due to the lack of anything else to do.

Penfold

Yeah, wot he said

(PS. No sn00ks - no pressie of SF  for me - probably because I didn't ask for it  :D I have such little time for gaming that I see little point in it.... ).

How about we put it up tonight for a taster.
