Just thinking about some stuff here, and id like to know how many ranks a guild can have max?

atm we got:
Guild Master
Officer
Officer alt
Guardian
Defender
Soldier
Dungeon
Alt
Initiate
and Slut for umbras alt

so how many would we be able to add? or are we at the max allready?

never mind, found it, You can create up to 10 ranks. Dont know if this includes the guild master rank though

According to blizzard these are the permits that ppl are able to get:
1 Guildchat Listen
2 Guildchat Speak
3 Officerchat Listen
4 Officerchat Speak
5 Promote
6 Demote
7 Invite Member
8 Remove Player
9 Set Motd
10 Edit Public Note
11 Edit Own Public Note
12 View Officer Note
13 Edit Officer Note

So with this in mind i propose the following ranks:

Officer Core (4 ranks)
Guildmaster : 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13
Officers : 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13
Junior Officer : 1 2 3 4 5 6 9 10 11 12
Raidlead : 1 2 3 4 9 (possibly no officer channel rights)

Member Core (3 ranks)
Guardian : 1 2
Defender : 1 2
Soldier : 1 2

Other (3 ranks)
Dungeon : -
Alts : 1 2
Initates : 1 2

Total 10 ranks

only drawback is that w/ this set up is that officer alts cant get a rank, since officers have different settings now, and since the maximum ammount of ranks is reached. this would mean that officer' alts would have to be promoted up to the same rank as the officer is (fe. my alts would be officer, deadlys would be Juniors officer, lunas would be raidlead)

Seems reasonable to me.  I have no probs with alts getting the same Officer rank - in any case this just allows us to do our jobs!

I would not want Raid Leaders on the Officer channel though.

Junior Officer would need a different name, it is kind of derogatory.  Assistant Officer or something similar (not Assistant Officer but along those lines)?

Wondering 1 thing im wondering about is should we make a new part of the forum that the commander and marshals have access to?

Why make sutch a big fuzz . If they apply for Raid leader in RG2  make them officers as they wil be dooing the same job as uss.
The whole class leader thing is a bit fuzzy for me, the way I see it ckass leader are ppl who can be persuaded to be RL as they allready stuck their neck out.

yeh i agree, get RG2 leads in here and leave luna/kreg/mene out, i told luna that what ever they need they can just shoot me an whisper/mail/pm. And next to that, they really dont want more responsabilitys at this time

We haven't yet even appointed Class Leaders yet let alone know what they are like or if they are suitable material and we're already promoting them to Officer?  I like simplicity, but this is kind of putting the cart before the horse here.

Appointing new Officers needs a slightly more thought out approach than just 'go invite a bunch'.

well thier guild rank is set up to allow access to officer abilitys, and i am not saying they should get everything at once, allthough rereading it sounds like it, but eventualy we should aim for them to be officers.

I was talking of RL not class leaders.
And of rceuting a RL from the CL since they put heyr head forward and can pherhapps be bullied into it
