miserable restart to cs source for me

Well, I tried joining the CS game on boomer last friday.  The game kept grinding to a halt during the connection stage.... once it actually connected, the screen showed the map I was on..... then it froze.

Also if I add boomer to my favorites nothing happens, it just will not appear in my favorites..... oh well :unsure:

Had Steam fully updated? ie if you hadn't played for a while it might have a lot of game updates to download - usually a funny right angled dotted line on the steam icon when it is updating?

I know its obvious but I trhougt Id ask :smile:

I had a very similar thing but it said 'steam Id not identified' or something along those lines. Bastet told me to log off steam then log back in and it was fine again.

Yeah steam was on top of updates as I've always allowed it to update.  I've just downloaded the latest drivers for my gfx card as its been a little funny of late.  I'll see how it goes.
