need help joining server

I need help!!!!!!!
 
I've got bf2 loaded and ready but i have trouble getting in to our server and other servers on xfire:g:
I select a server from xfire or our's on favorites and it just loads my game into the multiplayer server search in bf2 but no signs of the one's i've selected, i would of thought that it would take me straight into the game:blink:
Any ideas mates?

Try shutting Xfire off and any programs such as F@H.
Select by adding the serverIP.

It could be because the server you want to join is actually a PoE server? AFAIK they just list as BF2 in X-fire....

I have tried using X-Fire to join games but it never worked 100%. So I use it to find people and then fire up the game and join the server using the games browser.
I do exactly what the little voices tell me to.

PC Specs:- Black box with some fans that go whirrr, a few lights, things inside that get warm, headphones, keyboard (a clicky one), mouse (with buttons and no squeak), disks (2-off SSD and HDD) and a monitor of sufficient proportions.

I have problems joining BF2 via x-fire (CS is ok).
I just use it to see who's online then join from desktop shortcut8)

Not being one to buck a trend, so... :withstupid:

It's never really worked for me either.  I just do what Messrs Sn00ks and Blunt do.

but when i go in the game server and put our ip address it says not found?:blink:
and other servers that i find on xfire that one or more of dmw are playing on is not on the bf2 search:g:
any ideas?

I take it you are trying the following IP addresses:

87.240.138.22:16567 for AAS Server
87.240.138.22:16568 for PoE Server

Also make sure you have the portnumber correct!
16568 and it's standard set on 16567!!!
