Le Rouge

Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, is the new "it" series in the US right now, and quite for a good reason.
It's about producing a TV series much like Saturday Night live. Main actors are Matthew Perry (of Friends), Bardley Whitford (of the West Wing, another series by Aaron Sorkin), and Amanda Peet (which I hate).
Albeit Peet's part in this series, it's funny and interesting. If you don't know anything about the TV industry you are about to learn some, and if you do - you'll find it even funnier.
It aired 3 episodes by now, the 2nd and the 3rd are, imho, better than the pilot.
"Even in a justified war, only one place there is for the dead; if someone loses - it\'s only you. Prime Ministers leave without a scratch - when everything ends they mourn the people; but I want to live on and mourn them"
(free translation from a song by Hanoch Levin, 1968 )

I'm a gigantic West Wing fan, and so I expected to enjoy this more than I am so far. It all seems far too cheery and feelgood right now. I want something bad to happen to get the drama side of things to kick in.

btw, not sure when it's airing in the UK, but nbc.com has the latest episodes to view online each week, to save people looking for the show elsewhere. Same for superhero show Heroes.
