Unlike others i am not leaving because of real life.
 
I have been thinking of this for ages. . . .this is mostly over 1 loot, CTS, which Soulbringerx got, but as i raided more i found out loots getting handed out just . . .unnaceptable.
 
When Soul got his CTS, i /w him a few times, asking why he wanted it, he said because of the stats. Eventhough it was 1 agi, he still wanted it, i got pretty mad of after that he said, he would give it to me . . . . only after he got it and knowing it was useless. I swallowed that down and decided not to leave.
 
After a few more BWL runs, CTS dropped again, i hoped for it once again, i found that Umbra got it, and similar to Soul, he said if he knew he would of passed.
 
The next raid, i looked around a bit in RG1 to see who else wanted it, i /w everyone i knew and some others that knew who also wanted it, rogues said they'd pass since a hunter getting it was totally rubbish, maybe they felt sorry for me, unlike alot of people. Anyway, most people said pass to me.
 
Today in BWL, i found out Bastet got it, i do not know why he wanted it because he is fully specced and equiped for daggers, and someone who i never thought would go for the sword, he said something cus Optical was 2nd on the list for it and thats why.
 
I wonder why Optical didn't pass either, because i got the dagger before it? no way, what would he do with that?
CTS? whats the point?
 
I am not a loot whore as anyone is thinking or /w me after i left the guild.
I wonder why would a FEW people not pass to me a sword and i /w them once before to, they don't care about the raids progress? my "good" damage which the raid respects so much, wouldn't want it to be better? Thought it might be better for themselves? who knows?
 
The only thing i want to point out from my leaving is that SoG really needs to change the loot system, its been an "issue" for a long time, wondering if SoG would change it because of me leaving RG1 when they are low on rogues and also a good dpser. nah i doubt it, but i certainly don't want to be in a raid group like that.
 
GL with looking for better rogues and GL RG1 in raids.
 
Been fun, and a feel i owe TL alot and thats why i never left RG1 till now.
You think, this is a one sided veiw? if u ask many rogues, if they were sword specced and wanted the sword, would they leave after a hunter got it? the answer? find out.
 
And of course, this is not the only reason i left, but this is really the one i want SoG to change.

Not entirely acurate, i been thinking about switching to swords for a long time, since with us spending more and more time in AQ i am finding that CP generation on daggers is very limited (satura, other similar whirly mobs) and that more and more creatures in AQ and Naxx are extremly dificult to get behind.
 
Now i knew you wanted this, but seeing that you got a epic bwl claw, and dagger, and there being several more ppl intrested in the weapon, i figured there was no harm in me going for it.

Though I do see this a great failure to communicate. If there is stuff you want that badly, you would actually be well off letting ppl know. That is how Gorion got Thunderfury even. Squeeky wheel and so on. And also see the post above; Bastet has actually talked about this for quite a while.

I must say it is greatly dissapointing to see you leave. Giving up on the entire group because of one sword. Is the sence of belonging really that bad amongs the Rogues?

A suggestion about the loot thing.

I know alot of guilds have a channel . . where we have channel such as /sogdruids or something . . you could have a channel like "SoGloot" and in that channel u say 2 things ; what your after, and why u need it.

E.G

Nefarion has dropped asscandy.  At the moemnt it would kind of be like this.

Whisper "Vargen for asscandy"

/w vargen gief asscandy
/w vargen GIEF ASSCANDY
GIEF asscandy

Lolladin has top dkp so wins.

The sit im talking about would go like this.

"Whisper Vargen for asscandy"

/w vargen gief sword
/channel SoGloot : Sword, raid use/pvp

/w vargen gief sword
/channel SoGloot : Sword raid use, major upgrade

***** LOLLADIN SEES DPS WARRIOR WANTS ITEM*******

Basically, its just a way of knowing WHO gets what loot. . so you wont ever get the possible "I woulda passed :/ but i didnt know u wanted it"

And you'll also find your friends will pass to you.

Well my point is that i can dual wield to get more agro on bosses like (Chromaggus and Neferarian) I still dont have a good Off-hand i passed CTS 2times before for people that could really use it upgrade from blue to purple

As Vael dropped a nice dps off-hand aswell i passed it for you so my point in this is why you want 2 off-hands i only want a off-hand to dual wield en get much more agro building.. :g:

First of i want to repeat what vargen said about leaving because of loot. Loot is way too overrated and it isn´t a veary good reason to leave but i wish you the best of luck in what ever you are going to do now.

Secondly there is absolutely no reason to not have a priority system. Seriously you can´t expect people to be considerate when talking about items since very few actually know what every class want from loot and it can be diffrent from person to person. I have seen some loot thoughts from people in this guild that i think might even be worse then a hunter with thunderfury. And most people don´t think would this thing be better for me or other class, they think this gives me more of this and this. I want it.

Now people that talk about why there shouldn´t be a priority always mention pallies and druids. First of a Paladin and a Druid will only need the questionable loot for Grinding or PvP. You do not need a Askhandi to grind anywhere in this game and it will barely speed up your grinding. For PvP you should already be in Healing gear as a Paladin and you can easily survive with tier1 Epics that you picked up after everyone that needed the loot for Raiding has gotten their items. I mean seriously how many weapons are DEed because nooone needs them?

Now you people complain about not getting some of the best items in the game while other people are running around in blues and are happy that they got a good blue upgrade. And if you really think you need better gear to PvP then you should rather look up tactics for PvP or a better group cause most of the people that PvP alot are running around with Blues and maybe some epics gotten from PvP.

Torir: There is no reason for a own channel just for loot, You already have a raid chat that can be used for it and even better, you whisper the ML i want this but pass to "insert class/es". I have always done this if i think another class needs it more and people should already be doing this and i think some people do.

Now lets lastly compare 2 items, The CTS and the BB. Now a hunter should easily have gotten BB in RG1 before the group stopped raiding MC without taking it from a Rogue that wanted it. It isn´t really worth looking at it from a hunters point of view since a rogue gets more out of the stats then the hunter( About the same AP beacause both have the same STR and AGI and rogues get more crit from Agi then the hunter). Read the conclusion if you are to bored by the couple of numbers inbetween the items.

Now a Rogue with about 1500AP Raid buffed with BB in main hand has an average white hit(no crits) 264 now with 30% crit that is about 343 Average white hit only with MH or 164DPS(this is with SnD up at all times and hit on all attacks). Now this will be about 75% of his White DPS and White DPS is 50% of his total DPS. So he should have about 404DPS. Now this will fall to about 350DPS i would think because of misses, running around .

Now the other item

A Rogue gets 386Damage average per white hit with CTS with same stats as in the BB section(with Crits). Now this is about 178DPS with SnD up. So that is about 445DPS total. So a Rogue not only gets more out of the stats on the blade but he gets about 40DPS increase from the blade itself. Just to show you the diffrence even better lets look at a 10minute boss fight, The rogues damage would increase 24000. I am not sure how much that would be in % of a bosses health but taking Patchwerk as an example it would be about 0.8% of his health i think. This works the same way and the Upgrade from Rhok Delar to the Crossbow from Chromaggus would possibly be bigger then the upgrade i took as an example here.

Now how many 1% wipes have you seen? Or even better the same example just 5 that didn´t get the item because a lesser needing class got the item, how many sub 5% wipes have you seen?

This discussion was lately on the forum for RG2 also a rogue hunter thing..... he decided to stay which I appreciate.  And like then told, save the dkp so you can obtain it.....BWL is in farm status for RG1.....you'll probably see it drop a couple of time....that is if you stayed ofc...
 
And why does it have to be that you need to leave the guild for it.....within 6 weeks we'll have TBC coming out, new weapons with jewel crafting etc...I bet there will be a better weapon then.........

not just to filter out "minor improvements" over "lifelong dream" but also to see what your odds are on the item next time.
say i want a rejuvenating gem, and i know im not top dkp
i know this because i spend lots of dkp on "loladin kit" so the true healers will have more dkp then myself wich is only fair
but i would like to see how many players are still in front of me
 
 
also with this channel you could link the item you are switching it for
for instance, spam loot +30 agi ring
rogue one, links a +25 agi ring
loladin , links a20 agi ring
hunter, links a +26 agi ring
rogue two, links a +11 agi ring he had since the 5 man instances
 
this would be an improvement to all, and the loladin or rogue one might be on top, but it would be the biggest improvement for the rogue two.
this would also route out those backtalk things like,
       ooh you wanted it? i thought you had a decent one already, i would have passed if i knew your ring was that lame oh well better luck next time

Well, i only took the dagger because i see no point in DEing the dagger. If it was possible, i would of passed the dagger to u if i could of gotten the sword but no. ain't possible.
 
Since my leave woulddn't make a difference in the loot system i think my i will have no regrets in leaving the guild. True the sword in AQ40 would of been nice to, but im not gonna lose that to and the same thing would happen to any other "weapon" i want.
 
Again, why don't u use the Bid dkp system, u say its slow? if i had the CTS it would improve god knows how much damage. sure it might be slow while bidding but if it went to someone else, it wouldn't of been a good improvement.
 
And Bastet, dagger rogues are much better in instances, If u had the chance to get the armament and get the dagger? wouldn't that be better of in your hands? and better then CTS?  And if i had Perds and DFB i would never of wanted CTS.

Im so tired of seeing people leave the guild due to loot. The loot is a bonus for which you play, and if you dont get it first time, you'll get it next time
 
If people are really willing to leave the guild due to loot, i encourage them to do so, since they might not be fit for the Teamwork in SOG anyways

Why change something that works so good? The only flaws i've seen has been from players. Sucks to loose the loot, even worse from you're side leaving because you didnt get a sword. Sure, it sucks loosing loot, im pretty sure we've all seen it happen, we all need loot. But hey, if you leave because you didnt get loot, maybe sog isnt the guild for you? Harsh, yes. But try to reformulate what you just said, imo i just broke it down.
