Vargen

Patch maintenance is ongoing right now, and I've done some final adjustments to my planned build. Still though, I can't fully make up my mind of I will use this feral build or make a healing build temporarily before the expansion.

I would not take also Tree of Life.

Go feral and do the hybrid - take a lot of +str gear and you are done (Nurturing Instinct FTW) :)

Also because I will go for THIS BUILD

So I can't really tell ya to spec resto :P

Ok...Blizzard screwed up all again

The talents we are given are not the ones in the patch notes but the PTR ones it seems.

My first intention was to go for a semi healing/feral build, starting out at lvl 60 with 0/20/31, and putting more points in feral as I level up, ending up with 0/30/31.
But I've been on the PTR for a couple of weeks (haven't really had time to play), and there I tried out a 0/41/10 build (very similar to Vargen's feral build), and I must say that it was just cool:yahoo:
The DPS I managed to push out in catform, the damage I could take in bearform, it was all just über :dribble:

Since I don't raid anymore, I'm very tempted to try go full feral, at least for a while, but I haven't managed to decide yet.  The only problem if I choose to go feral, is that the small pieces I have with feral gear suck balls... but I guess that can be fixed with some Strat/Scholo/BRS grinding :)

Oh great, they *bleeped* it up again :thumbsdownsmileyani . I'd much rather have the talents that are in the patch notes.

I'm going for this spec (41feral/10restro): clicky. This (30feral/21restro) was also an option, it's about the same as I have now. The reason I'm going full feral is that I am just blown away by how powerfull it has become. I tested it on the PTR and it was absolutely amazing. More damage avoidance and DPS in bear form and I was doing about 350-400 DPS in cat (self buffed) without doing anything special at all.

Btw, if anyone wonders why I didn't put any points in shreding attacks. At the moment Mangle > Shred (damage wise), since we don't get the +30% shred damage debuff from mangle yet  .

The trees are totally ****ed up now. Just so angry with these talents that I don't even fell like using the feral tree anymore. I could go with this and pretend the patch never happend, as this would leave me with exactly the same as I had before. But I should have had at least 5 more talents to spend if Blizz hadn't ****ed us over _again. I might just abandon feral and go zombie spec though.

I'll go cry myself to sleep now

It would be cool if you gave that "zombie spec" of yours a try, just for a couple of weeks or so, just to see how good you really could do healing with it!

I'm leaning more and more towards going full feral - both because I won't be raiding too much in the time to come, but also because I've always been full resto, and I feel it's a good time to try out the feral tree :)

Atm I've specced like THIS leaving me with 7 talents. Now is better to go for THIS to have Imp. MotW and some reduction to HT cast or THIS to gain +3% hit to melee / ranged?

Thing is that having HoT spec, I won't have any effective healing at all, as there is allways some pallie or priest spamming flash heals and chasing the top healer spot. It would only really work _after_ all priests and pallies were out of mana.

Give it a try Bob. The first time I specced feral was in patch 1.10 or something and I've been in love with the tree ever since. (Yes, I was restro while leveling to 60; no wonder it took so long  ).

Too bad they messed up the trees. Aren't these even older then on the PTR? I thought feline swiftness also gave 4% dodge to bear when I tried it out, just like in the beta, but that isn't the case in the live server trees :g: . Blizz already stated that they're not going to fix it :ranting2: , we'll have to wait till the expansion arrives.

I specced my horde druid feral and Vargen to 'tree spec'. Pretty happy with both really, but I want to play feral again when they fix the talents.

Playing my cow at lvl 38 now all I can say is I EXPECT them to be nerfing Nurturing instinct VERRY soon. I go from 0+healing to 80+healing or so for 6 seconds after shifting out of feral form. That makes a huge difference on healing. Meaning I can grind non stop only stopping to pop a warstomp+ht if I run low on health on a mob. Usually it is enough to just pop a rejuv while running to the next mob.
