Do you get "drop" on this game ie bullets dropping over long distances??? like the sniper rifles?????

Personally I would go for the PKM as I play support a lot if not most of the time..
 
Other than that the m95 is good to have..
 
DO NOT waste money on the Shotty upgrades. I find them almost useless in this game.
 
Consider getting special forces add-on as it automatically gives you an unlock.
 
As for flying.. I believe the only way forward is to get a joystick and configure it properly.

If you want to practice flying. setup a 64player map and while it is waiting for others to join, you can fly around without any concerns.

Haha, sounds like my twinbrother last night.
I've managed to teach myself the flight in both choppers and planes with keyboard and mouse. It is pretty do-able. The choppers can be practiced on your own when you play against bots, same counts for the planes.
 
For the rest, get the unlocks first from those kits that you play most.

I've never learned the helicopter one.. I always end up turning the chopper upside down :rolleyes:
As for planes.. I can prolly fly them ok, but if I got shoot at something I have to be lucky to hit.. But I guess with some more practice Ill learn both things eventually..

Never played online btw.. Might get started on that at some point.. Love the game, but getting tired of the bots not doing stuff right, so real people might improve that :eyebrow: Usually Im just too busy having problems with the comp or playing WoW

i can fly around in a plane but its using the bombs and genral combat in the planes and choppers i need help with, i only ever seem to last abour 30secs befor i get blasted out the skys

Remember you also have flares when missils are launched at you ('x'-button).
Also when using Shift you use the afterburner for fast get aways/corners.
 
@Nef, BF2 online can be really anoying, hacks, TK's and lots of other stuff. There are some good servers though...

I find the AT shotgun DA012 a superb upgrade, though obviously your first upgrades will probably be down to which class you like playing the most.

I play medic/AT/Assault and occasionally engineer, I never play sniper, spec ops so I've left their upgrades till last.

I decided that the sniper rifle and the medics gun were the better upgrades. The G3 is nice but I miss the grenade launcher too much :D Best advice is to unlock those weapons for the classes which you play the most.

I must admit with the semi-auto shotty and playing as AT I got loads of kills. Ended up being my fav combo.

G3 is a good gun. while the magazine is small at only 25 rounds, it is highly accurate at medium to long range. I've seen folks use it to snipe before.

G3 is nice but then I only got to use it when I swapped a kit with someone who was using one ... grenade launcher on the standard rifle is good for "sniping" too when your aim is in :devil:

G3 only has 20 rounds, but does 40pts damage vs the majority of others ie G36 which do @30.
