Great combo I think. My race was good, I did only one bad mistake but it did not cost me much.

After the quali I did not really understand what was going on, even though I was on Ventrilo, so I was basically waiting for a pee/drink break. Instead we started a race. I was spectating with only 9% of fuel in the tank. Actually I was happy to start in the back of the grid, because I knew that now I could drive with not too much stress. I still feel myself unsure in close racing, so this was a good practise. Racing with Oldie for a few laps was the best part of the race, and then in the end when Stoney was getting near, I had to make a few good laps to keep him a few seconds behind.

Once again I proved to the world my value as a race organiser! :lmfao: Sorry folks. Anyway it did get underway albeit 5 minutes early. Apologies to weak bladders everywhere, including mine..
Here's the REPLAY. This will be here for a week only

Excellent race tonight 16 finishers out of 21 starters is good. As I recall only one of those was someone who didn't realise what he was getting into! :)

EDIT: Replay now deleted.

What were you thinking Ron? You even stopped the qualifying too early.

The race went surprisingly well for me, even I dropped down one place from the start place. Had some nice racing e.g. with the MIF guys. It felt that with high fuel load the car was much easier to drive. The only bigger mistake was in the beginning when I had an excursion to grass thanks to cold tyres and over enthusiastic driver. I had a contact with someone (dunno who but felt the contact) after that, but I was too busy keeping my car under control that couldn't type any apologies. If it was my fault... sorry.

A: I wasn't thinking.
B: No I didn't. :bleh:
C: It's all the fault of Logitech. :dummy:

Seany

yeah that was a very enjoyable race and combo, love the LX cars.  had to answer the door on lap 2  :D , but i made a fair few places and put in 2  new pbs, all with out any off track excursions.:flirty:

The Moose

Great combo as usual guys, and nice people to race against :)

Thanks for hosting, it's always a pleasure to drive on your server.

Cya at South City.

Then bloody well slow down!:ranting2:

Iron

I had a very enjoyable race.

I hit a tyre in the chicane in the 2nd lap, no, it wasn't your fault Moose, it was just the usual "target fixation" syndrome, you did that chicane a bit wrong and I followed you like a sheep right into the tyres, and got spinned.

So I had to wait for almost the whole field to pass, and rejoined the race after them. This is why I enjoyed this race, I had many good battles, and unfortunately 3 contacts, with Lameduck, BigFatCat, and Aquilifer. Sorry for that.

Aquilifer

Watched the replay. The 1st lap collisions... I didn't realise I hit them so bad. First Vobler and then Stoney out of track. My car wasn't totally in my control then. Maybe Red Wine EVO should have banned me. Sorry again chaps

All of us on Ventrilo had a pretty good idea that you had. :flirty:

 Ahh, that's ok then :)

I saw you spin in my mirrors but couldn't see any tires. I was aware i had brushed them but wasn't sure whether I'd actually knocked them into your path.

Never felt a thing. I had worked my way into the point (sic) :yahoo:coming up to half-distance when I glanced the wall before the bridge and the bloody thing did a vertical take off!! Not a bad thing as I was dying for a pee.
Very enjoyable racing, clean, fair & fun.

Jamin

I'd been grafting all week so was tired and achey. I was going to spectate the race but was dropped onto the grid due to the thingy Doorman did. :lmfao:

I was doing ok by halfway, well I'd just gone one lap down so I pitted, no fuel, tyres or damage so just a stop go, at the end of my out lap I had Deetz up my butt, and whilst looking in the mirror at where he was and which side to let him through on, I hit a car stopped in the middle of the track. I tried a few laps after but the car wasn't well so I pitted again, I rolled a j in the time it took to repair :ranting2: and went another lap down.

So I trundled round for another 10 mins or so trying to keep out of the way until I clipped the barrier before the bridge and went spinning onto my side.

I don't like Fern bay much.

I wonder why is that so. :lmfao:

Ben, I hadn't realised you had such an incident packed race. Unlucky mate.

Well the race was one I enjoyed thoroughly. I could not help hitting Iron when he span early on, and just got into a rhythm again when exiting turn one, I discovered Armitage coming the wrong way recovering from a spin. The resulting collision lost me a couple of positions and damaged my suspension. Thankfully not enough to cause problems with my tyre temperatures, but enough for the steering to be knocked a bit off centre.

With all that fuel the back end was nailed down and despite the weight some good laps allowed me to catch Dee Slider and John Reed battling for 2nd place. Once past Dee, with a bit of help from what looked like overheating rear tyres I passed John back into 2nd place. With Moose doing his usual stunning lap times and pulling away, I just settled into going as consistently quick as I could to put some distance to those behind me.

After my pit stop with concentration slipping a little I was in a little world of my own until I noticed Iron about 4.5 seconds behind and closing. What a wake up call, it took a few laps to get back to a flat out pace, Iron closed up to within a second or so before I started pegging his lap times, putting in three or four consecutive PB’s. Then suddenly he was gone, I later found he had pitted for his usual late stop,  the pressure was off for the run to the flag.

Congratulations to Moose for a fine victory, all those others who finished, especially those with new PB’s, a great race.
