The first pictures have been beamed back. Nothing fancy yet - but I just love to look at those surface pics from Mars :)

Pretty cool, they're nice quality pictures. Be nice when more come out.
Juggling Hard Disks over concrete floors ends in tears 5% of the time.

Not a bad way to spend 20.000 dollars on a studio with such a backgrounds.

Shame their budget was a total 189 bilion...

i remember finding a page where i back in the days downloaded some insane resolution pics taken with hubble, were talking about 20000x15000 or something in that range, files were lige 150mb+

if anyone were to stumble over it at some point, please poke me :D

Biggest pictures I've been able to track down are from the Hubblesite Newscenter, but they're "only" around 2000x1500 or like the one in the link, 5302x3805.

The pics from the site I remember were 100-150MB TIFFs. Those in the link are still awesome though. Amazing detail.
