:withstupid:*

*except for the TK bit

I'm still struggling to configure my z-board to a comfortable setting.
I really miss not being able to quick change weapons with the mouse wheel a la CSS (I mean the grenades and fb's too BB)

also I find some peoples comms quiet whilst others don't, and most people it seems find mine quiet (turned up full in game and xp)

BTW I did manage to fluke 3 kills on the trot and got to launch the UFO tonight:yahoo:

also also, can someone explain the create class thing to me, as I have the option but know not what to do.

also also also, is 16 the max we can manage as a server size as some of us were waiting to get on for ages?
Regards
Blunt

Well it was my first time so to speak and it was great fun.

sorry for the noob questions fellas - so much to learn - so little time alive to practice them :flirty:

I'm with Blunt on the Custom Class - I've seen how to do it and can change the options - just want to know what best for a beginner.

Not sure why Blunt found my VC quiet - I think the rest of you found them ok did you?

For starting out Pen, I recommend the mp5 if you like to move around alot. If not and you like to defend(pick a good spot/corner) wait for the m4 at about lvl 15? Best all round rifle and is very accurate (good for hardcore where high damage isint that important).

Get used to shooting with your sights up at any middle/long range! So red dot sight attachment is a useful one to unlock.

Then when creating your kit you also pick your perks. Stopping power is really good (extra damage).

Armitage

Once you get to level 10 you can make custom classes. This option is found in the MP main options screen. you should also have the M4 by then which is the most versatile gun in the game.

Check out the weapon unlocks and perks here http://www.deadmen.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=23800

Just wait untill you unleash an airstrike and the heli!

With the the create class you can set up your favourite guns and perks in specialised classes. Say you want to be sniper on a map. Guns; your favourite sniperrifle (when unlocked). Maybe a secondairy gun or such aswell. Perk; UAV-jammer so they can't find you.

Next round you want to have an assaultkit;
M4 as a gun. Perks; stopping power, juggernaut etc.

So with create a class you can setup your favourite guns and perks.
Check out the thread about it. I'm still tweaking my setups in the game.
For instance I had martyr in 1 kit, because of playing on our server I got rid of it.
I renamed them to things like;
Assault;
Assault1;
Sniper;
Rusher;
Wallhack.

The last one because it's a heavy machinegunner with the bombsquadperk as I need to get a few more kills through a wall with shooting someones C4 or claymore.

Rusher for an example has longer sprinting time, giving me an edge if you rush out of spawn towards the bombspots. Gun up here is the P90 with fast switch.

I hope you get it now.

To bad I missed it. Internetconnection might take a while...:sideways:

16 is the max that we can have on and still have something approaching tactical play. beyond that and there is too many people for the size of maps (same idea as in CSS).

I have played headquarters mode on a 50 player server on the Killhouse map!!!!! It was complete mayhem :blink:

Pff, I once joined a map with only the containers.
People kept respawning on the same places with a spawningtime of 0 seconds.
Some mapsettings on a few servers are just weird.

My favourite map is Bloc and get in my gitspot and pick people off. Depends on how the server is setup though.

There was an outbreak of tactics last night on pipeline, people told each other things and we felt like we were doing something right.

And I shotted someone, who wasn't on my side.

One thing I will say about custom classes, which had me confused for ages - You can only create them at map end/change (when there's not really enough time to do it) or when not connected to any servers. Annoyingly you can't get to create a class when dead waiting for a round to complete, which is where I spend most of my time ;)

And that is the reason you should create them before playing.
Remember that you can allways switch guns by picking them up.
Also swap class when you get killed if you want...

Thanks guys some good advice..... It certainly takes a moment

I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed last night.

I spent a lot of time dead but hey ho - what's new.:rolleyes:

There's a couple of things I'd like to see - such as an affirmative and negative button as in CS and also a prompt as to who's talking on voice comms.

It's far more realistic not having a HUD with rounds left in magazine etc and I found the graphics etc beautiful.

Y'all seem to have progressed so far so quickly - I think I'm going to need to get some extra gaming time in to catch up:flirty:

There are voicebuttons you can use. Like; Flank left...
Now off for a workdiscussion but someone else will tell you.

That game last night was my 3rd session, getting up the ranks doesn't take long (think I'm on 18/19 now). Although I think the best bet is to ignore the ranking and let them come, although I fancy messing with the challenges (you get XP for them too).

I find the biggest struggle is not knowing where your team mates are, you don't always know where to expect a teammate/enemy to come out from. I still seem to struggle identifying the differences in the spur of the moment.

Anyway, M4 with red dot is nice while your learning the game.

Communication is the key. Even more important in CoD than CSS esp when you don't have the comfort of the map.
