So was my CoD5 but that arrived next day. My L4D has been dispatched as well.

I've completed the first part and the rooftop finale is indeed tough but brilliant.

But there's a couple of things that are really peeing me off.

1. No save game. Why not? Take the rooftop finale ... You can spend a while preparing for the rush i.e. positioning petrol etc but if your plan fails then it's right back to the start of the section again. Grrrr.

2. Pipebombs and molotovs cannot be moved. You can pick one up but not drop it again in another location. Grrrr twice.

Otherwise - excellent fun

Indeed great fun i also have done rooftop.
And yeah that you cant save is a bit crappy.

To be honest I feel that the single player element was an afterthought.  I think the intention was that L4D would be primarily a multiplayer game, hence no save. It did annoy me too.

We need to have an 'idiots guide' to playing L4D as a community. BB is fighting the server configs so that our server will show under the 'Steam Group' option. When this is achieved we can work out how to get the various gametypes up and running and be able to switch between them depending on how many members are up for a game.

Early days still and the change in focus away from a server browser to a lobby system is mighty confusing but, rest assured, if anyone can sort this out for us it will be BB

Still working on it - seems to be a coding issue (no surprises)

In the meantime, those with Vista can use this to monitor the L4D server if they add it to their favourites in Steam. The server will not appear in the favourites but it will appear in the sidebar gadget (as will all the other servers in your favourites)

Those without Vista can use HLSW to see who is on the server

Well I went for the freebie slow delivery and it arrived this morning. :yahoo:

Trouble is when I try to connect to a 'group' server it can't find one :sad:.

I checked and I'm in the dMw group, aren't I?
 
Any suggestions on how I can connect to it?
