when we recruit people put them on to trial are we actually bothering to test them trialwise or does that just go out the window just to fill spaces for 25 mans ? because so far out of amph, dynnes and phxsio the only one ive been impressed by is amph he puts out nice dps and is consistant with it .

Me and Tealle ran heroic uk with aniquee today and werent impressed by him and it made me lol when i got a message off tealle saying bet he dies which he did just by standing in the spinning axes once the boss was dead. Phxsio didnt impress me much in the 25 man raid with agro etc and im pretty sure some comments were mentioned the other night in council channel .

out of the 3 the only one i would keep is amph .

please all make comments

I believe they're all friends so I think that if one goes then they all go.

They do have the typical Dutch 'abrasiveness' so can come across quite 'annoying' at times but other than that I think your thoughts sum it up well. Amph is a good player and is very enthusiastic about getting runs going.

He has been in a lot longer than the others though so maybe we can 'educate' them better? I don't know. A word with Amph maybe as they are friends, however it could easily be done in the forum and I don't think they have much of a forum life outside wow. (Not seen them on here other than to sign up) so maybe get them to participate more here where we can educate them better.

I think it should be a requirement for all members to not only be active in wow but also on the forum too.

General point first:
Yes we test people on trial, but what we test for is down to what they applied for.  Socials will have different standards applied in terms of in-game skills and performance.  ALl members should meet the dMw standards though.  Personally for every new recrut I got in the last few raid guilds I have been in I posted a thread with the title " - trial ".  I then post in reviews of performance and others add comments as they come up.  It allows a more evidenced review when it comes to that time of saying 'do they pass trial or not'.  This relies on people actually posting and responding to a thread though.

Specifics:
I can only really comment on Anni as he is the one who stuck out in my mind as being afk and real poor dps.  That being said was he recruited as a social or a raider?  If the latter then he is not cutting it, if social then tbh my views are irrelevant other than to avoid partying with him again as he is as bad as not having someone there.

Amph I have heard is 'loud-mouthed' but I have not been around when he has done this, or if I have been I have not noticed.

Who is Dynnes?  Never seen him.

That's quite the achievement considering they're all Danish ^^

Anyway, since I've miraculously been granted access to this part of the forum apparently:

To start with I weren't very impressed with Amph's 'attitude'. It's not really that but I lack a word for it. Sure he's enthousiastic but in that typical way that gets me "oh no it's one of those". Fortunately my judgement was too quick as Amph seems to be putting out proper dps indeed, but I'm worried that coordination won't be his (and their, if the other two are anything like him) strongest point. Not so big a deal now that we have Naxx on pretty much farm but it might become a real issue when taking on Ulduar, although that's quite a bit of farsight.

My conclusion is we may have been a bit quick in recruiting the lot, perhaps based on them being Amph's friend more than their performance. From what I make up here they resemble Amph more in his attitude than his dps. That's a suspicion though as I haven't been around when the other 2 were invited (although I did read their apps). I think their age has a lot to do with it as well.
or Garrit, or Torgen. Also, Livestream.

Well, either you've been promoted by Sheepy or the forum reorganisation has incorrectly awarded you 'Council' status.  Until this is confirmed one way or the other, please remember everything here is private and ignore the threads about you!

I'm just mildly surprised at Azunai's surprise - I assume Sheepy would have mentioned something about promotion!

Well I was quite aware I was an officer, worry not :) So either I've overlooked this section all the time or I was recently promoted here.

More likely that someone forgot to grant access as it was manually assigned before. Now that my script that links badges to access rights is operational this is all automatic :)

:roflmao: this thread has gone off topic, ye im surprised aswell that sheep hasnt asked u garrit  or even posted it in here, soooooooo anyone else who has  been promoted ?

TeaLeaf

In game Azunai is not promoted, so I requested Penfold remove the Red Badge (Council) and appoint a Green Badge (DMR member).

Sheepy, if you wanted to promote Az to COuncil then you need to issue a red badge again and promote in game as I went with the in game level of membership.

Bump for Sheepy to consider the Azunai & Gijs issue mentioned in this and the COuncil name list thread.
