Is there a way to channel my PC downstairs to a screen, keyboard and mouse in my bedroom with minimal wiring and low outlay?

Thinking that if I play the odd strategic thing, access tv listings etc, the missus might not divorce me for living in the study the whole night.

Why did you mention RDP? Just wondered as that could be a way of accessing the PC from a different location (i.e. Remote Desktop Connection).  It's fairly simple to set up and on a local network runs very nicely as you can run it full screen would be like you were sitting at the other PC although you can't play games using it.
Start Folding and get yourself one of those nice new badge thingies, it\'s a good cause.  Check out the stats

I mentioned it as the obvious choice, but obviously it's no good for games...

im lucky i have my pc in the bedroom( on third floor) that i use for gaming, a gaming pc in my sons room(2nd floor) that i also use for gaming when she complains i spend too much time in our room, a gaming laptop for in the living room and an old pc in the living roomthat has all my films on it rigged to the tv.

the last pc has a 6800 in it and can play most games even l4d although i am lucky that i have a phone connection/ spare router in the living room as well as in my room so i can use it when the need (very rarely) arises.

thought id share

I came into this world with nothing,
through careful management I\'ve got most of it left.

Are you going to come quietly, or do I have to use earplugs?

Cheers G, that's pretty much my thoughts. Is there a tidy way to KVM up to another room. Wireless would be nice, but no neccessity. Running it over the ring main would be ideal in the same way you can LAN over it now.
