7pm tomorrow then. :thumbsup2:

The Moose

I really don't want to pull out of this one, but it's the Champions League final tonight.  That for me is unmissable.
Sorry for letting the side down

 Good luck guys.

And then there were 10...

I couldn't find a setup either, so im just fooling around with the base setup :g:

After tonight I have finally given up on nKP...until Kunos sorts it out, which won't be any time soon. :sideways:
The collision detection is abysmal. This evening I was hit in the rear and the guy had absolutely no indication that he'd hit me. I hear an almighty bang and head straight for the picnic area. He feels, nor hears anything and doesn't even lose his front wing!  I trust this bloke implicitly. Even so, (:D) I watched the replay and it didn't LOOK like a hit. Come on Kunos, stop frickin' about with arcade crap and fix this thing! :ranting2:

What on earth took you so long?

Jape

yep, collision detection and server lobby are really killing this great simulator.

From my race there is not much to say. I was just cruising (trying to keep car on track) with fps from 4 to 10 (ex. start/lap1). It is weird that 2,8Ghz, 2G 800Mhz, 512mb grapich gard with minimum grapich details isn't enough for nkPro..

Tried to make a setup yesterday, but failed miserably (like I expected) :ranting2:. So it settled for the good old ‘jaap_base’ setup and managed to put in a 56.X qualification lap :lmfao: Which gave me P3 on the starting grid :yahoo:

I took it real easy with at the start not trying to be ‘the guy’ that screws up :). The first couple of laps I was right behind E.Dauti, took it easy following him and try to force him into a mistake, unfortunately I made a couple of small error's myself so he could pull away to about 4 seconds.

In the last part of the race I lapped some people so did E.Dauti who's was just in front of me. After overtaking a back marker he made a mistake of hitting the curbs before the main straight and almost spun off. He lost a couple of seconds to that I could just catch him. I was now in P2 with E.Dauti under a second behind me.

The following corner I came up to Ron and tried to pass him on the inside, It was really close but I thought it was a clean pass... until I heard Ron :taz::ranting2: on Ventrillo telling me he was hit :sideways:. I didn't notice or heard anything, I checked the replay and it really was a big bang (from Ron's car) Again sorry Ron.

I continued my was until the end of the race with E.Dauti still on my tail and managed to keep P2, So it was quite a good race except for propelling Ron of the track :sideways:

That's more than enough for HistoriX Jape :norty:

An unfortunate incident and well done for carrying on Ron.
But I don't think you can blame poor collision detection for this one -

I do think the damage model sucked here though, that should have torn the wheels off both cars!

Thats really interesting. It seems that the replay data on my replay and yours Katsu is different. On my replay (and Rons I guess) it was definitely a collision and on yours it isn't.
This would seem to me to be down to the netcode and associated warp/lag issues, or whatever you want to call it, and not just the collision detection?
It appears that the game had the cars in two different positions? This would explain some of the other mysterious incidents and why Ron got damaged and you didn't?

Roll on the new netcode, lets pray that its better. :help2::helpsmilie2::please:
