Tuesday Night Woes....again

Hey All

Proper nightmare again last night, 19:00 raid time looking good with 24 online
invite sent out, announced Naxx for KT was first

 19 accepted - only 1 was a healer !! Alya was in guild chat and refused to join and kept asking where we were going.
I replied that wasnt the question ! the question was are you free to raid
a coupla minutes later Alya joined.

20 accepted - 2 healers online  and only 2 officers in raid.

at 19:15 i called the raid again - this was the third time in four weeks
that i've had to call a 25 man raid.

So may i suggest we immediatley suspend Tuesday night raiding forthwith

as i'm now done rushing back from London sitting down the second i walk in the door spending 20-25 mins trying to get the thing going only to cancel it.

so Ideas welcome for a different night or are we going to just run 2 nights ??

If 2 nights is the case then we can kiss the 25 mans goodbye due to around about half the guild going elswhere. - judging by the amount of frustration after being called last night

Is it Tuesday that is a problem or a third night?  Maybe some rapid research into when people can raid and checking that the balance of those numbers is ok would help?

As previously stated somewhere i cant remember where ive been out of action for april on tuesdays due to RL commitments. However after this saturday im back in full swing

i cant help but feel that people just cant be asked i bet if we said ulduar was on tuesdays all of a sunday we'd have 30people on begging to come...

Exactly why I posted that poll, as I had exactly the same problem a few weeks ago! It's not nice having to call raids off as there are people who do make the effort. But, until we get some more members, I think we should suspend tuesdays from the calendar as we are running into attendance problems.

Summer is around the corner too, so more people will be outside a lot which will further decrease numbers

On a more serious note should we post up 10mans for tuesday instead. Im willing to do it and run them as i dont want to drop it and leave those that are always there on tuesdays with nothing?

it is an idea to say that we will run 2x 10 man ulduar on a tuesday. just another one for the melting pot.

It's been a thorn in my side ever since we started raiding that we can't get three full nights. Any less than three just seems so pointless with regards to progressmaking, especially if the nights are 'only' 3 hours long as well. The weeks where we did make progress, when we floored Grob, Thaddius, Sapph and KT, were all on tuesdays when we did have a full group, and those were exceptional days.

We already ran a poll asking what days people were available to raid on and the top 3 was our current setup, with most people on sundays/thursdays. It was quite an exact representation of our situation in fact.

Recruit more in the problem areas then?  If you want a reliable Tuesday 25 person raid then you need the bodies to cover shortfalls.  It will mean that sometimes people have to queue, but it also means you get a raid on every scheduled night and no disappointments when scheduled raids have to be called due to lack of people.  Maybe it's Blizzard's way of telling you that you need more members.

I think the recruitment time is upon us again.

Once the Lan is out the way or maybe at the Lan (but before sheep is smashed :woot2:). I suggest a mini audit of where we are at with regards to members, active members, who when and where for raiding nights and just go through and see if we can get a good idea of the sort of classes we need to get so 3 nights a week are not an issue.

Then get busy to make it so.

With regards to the 1 night Naxx i think its the only way we can continue to do it, so that people just dont turn up for KT and walk off with the loot from the 2nd nights raiding leaving the others who have cleared through the place empty handed and fuming.
As mentioned several of us only want bits from KT but still rock up to help our guildies through so they can get their gear as well (which to my mind is exactly the dMr raiding ethos) when there are only a few people left then of course at some point it will be dropped apart from alt runs (exactly like MC was for BWL and then BWL for AQ40)....Natural progression !!
Until that time though it is necessary i think and because we dont use dkp
it seems 1 night is the only fair option for Naxx.

I thought we made good speed last week upto the last wing and then we were hangin about esp at Grobb and Gluth, so that can be an aim for this week to try and shave a few minutes off there which may give us another go at KT.

How about Tonight we go and do Malygos then OS then first bosses in Ulduar for a change, Naxx on Sunday with the earlier start again (and really push this time for the clear get ppl focused and buzzin) then either more Uld or 2 x 10 man grps (although i think trying to balance em will be murders- "you got better dps than us" "your healers are better ours"  "my mums harder than your tank")

Maly and OS sounds good.. although unless i missed something shouldnt we go drop KT as well?
