After doing this the menu comes up ok but the 0 (exit) option is grey and doesn't work. It worked better having to use escape for me. Does it work ok for you Snokio?

It was fine for me, although not tried it since the server restart, I check now

As I've just explained to Snokio, I can get the Admin munu up, but I can't get rid of it as zero key doesn't work.
I also have not successfully ALT/TAB'd yet, I can get out of the game screen to windows, but can't get back to game:blink:

as my 0.02, I think there would be some value in a private server. It's been full most nights and I feel you'd get a better grounding of dMw ethos players in place before being able to coach the unwashed.

Correct. And if alltalk could be used for explaining how it works it's really easy to get the hang of the game and have a few testruns more for a normal game.
 
Also, is the server atm still timebased per map or will it be changed to rounds won?

We can always put a password on one of the servers (if empty) and just let dMw'ers have access.
 
Whitey did a server restart last night and configured it to map round limit rather than time based (there is still a overall timelimit though i think) , he also limited it to 18 total from 22 to help control the 'no tactical chaos'.

all i did was 'bind a sm_admin' in console
 
and number 0 to exit
 
there is a small delay in the menu disappearing, but works fine for me
 
This might sound funny, but could a binded game key conflict with admin menu key? my 'join team Alpha(5), Bravo(6), Charlie(7)....etc and quit group(and think 0)' keys are no longer showing, however, they still work

I binded '0' to quit star, an guess what, i couldn't exit the admin menu, problem is, I cleared the key and i still can't exit :doh:

Maybe we should change the admin back to how it was (when you press escape), had a quick look to see if there was a fix for it, but couldn't see anything.
 
Also, can we add a message about the round limit being set to 10, as I see lots of people typing 'timeleft' followed by remark, and fear this might be making players leave (although I do tell them it is based on round limit)

I have been watching the servers and theres a snowball effect, last night when 2 or 3 dMw'ers joined the empty server it was full within a few minutes with pubbies. Great, but then no more dMw members could join and a lot of them appeared to just be frag hunting.

Server 2 had a few nibbles, but didn't take off, I think it would have gone the same way though if 3 or 4 had been on there.

Obviously it's a new mod and server numbers are growing so we may see it tail off slightly, but an advertised dMw tutorial night would definately be an idea to at least get our side playing it tactically.

Some French players were being a bit of a pain later on, but one of you banned him after he was warned a few times and kicked, but was still being an arse, he was multilingual and was just goading the admin, so no communication problem. I was just monitoring it through HLSW.

Hi Snokio, I take it you're admin on the Neotokyo servers, joining tonight about 9:30pm I had a player "Zulu Ikwa" on my team who was verbally abusing his team mates and constantly swearing, after a while I told him to shut up or go play somewhere else, amongst his threats to find and kill me, he invited me to suck his peewee...if you know what I mean.
 
Shall we arrange for a private session for tomorrow (Thursday)? or is that conflicting with a 'games night'
