Well it still does not run on my computer. The GUI works but the sim stops when initializing.

I'm sad to say it is worse than I expected. (and that was not much) Probably something wrong with my computer. My drivers or my OS. And I know, beta and all that but please! Look at what he fixed, that's not beta, that's pre alpha.

OK, I'll move on

EDIT:
It runs now, after a lot of crash messages from dracula I disconnected my joystick and then the sim started. No Force Feedback though. Except the
 "vibration" effects.

Yeah I got very excited yesterday when I saw this had appeared... installed it like a madman and tbh I'm a bit disappointed.

I can't get the FFB working well now it seems EXTREMELY twitchy in terms of steering and there seems to be no damping at all, I feel like I'm going to break my wheel if I play it any longer tbh.. not out of frustration but just the sawing/damperless FFB imp. that is quite harsh overall.

I think if I can get that sorted I can at least start playing/enjoying the game but at the moment it feels awful :(

edit: Actually scratch that, I realised my settings for some reason had defaulted to 300 degrees steering. I reset it all and started again, and its miles better. :)

We've been conditioned to jump on nKP from a great height. I know I did when the F1600 wouldn't start. Was picky about the handling at first as well.

Yeah in all fairness I really like it after getting used to the FFB. Despite me not really initially being too keen on the braking FFB effects and rumblestrip stuff, its actually helping me in terms of control.

The one thing I don't like is the main UI outside of the game, which is ugly as sin, and takes up my whole screen. And they seem to have removed the H-shifter support in the F2000/FTarget which is a bit crud.

Other than that its good, and in all honesty I'm just glad they released an update. I didn't expect it at all.

Funny you mention that, I discovered that and put it down to my not ticking something. Then I forgot all about it and went on to other things. Personally I figure the F200 is an Hshifter and the fTarget is sequential. Unless Kunos knows differently and has forced changes

I thought that it was broken until realised it was working fine on the F1600/1800. I had a look through the configs and stuff but couldn't find anything so I gave up :D

Its only a shame because I've gotten used to driving all of them with the H-shifter for ages. Mind you they all drive fairly differently now anyway. :)

That's because both the F2000 and FTarget have sequential boxes.   If he's removed the ability to use an H shifter from them he gets a thumbs up from me ;)

I see he hasn't removed the ability to use a sequential from the F1600/1800

Seriously, I had a lot of trouble with the F1600. Firstly, although it took some while to twig it, it was shod on slicks! The graphics were slicks, the info in the tyres tab said FF Avon. The result of this was that the bloody thing wouldn't keep it's backside in place however gentle I was. My first thought was that it was a misplaced tyre file. Anyway, after a lot of faffing I spat my dummy and reinstalled 1.1.
Glory hallelujah! Road tyres on and weirdly the car started handling properly. Now it's terrific! netKarPRO is homing in on the perfect sim! It feels like a real car. :norty: All the expense of Frex gear and TIR etc. etc. will be worthwhile at last! :yahoo:

Yesterday I tried to drive the f1600 with the H shifter and it actually feels better much that way. If in interpret moose comment corretly the F1600/1800 have h shifter and the F2000/Ftarget sequential in real life?

How bizarre    There should be no way with a fresh install that it's possible for the 1600 to have slicks. :g:

Glad you have it sorted anyway. :)

Quite right, there SHOULD be no way but believe me. I even reported it as a bug.

I can't seem to find how to configure the controls to work with the H-shifter. Any help?

Have you seen the 'shifter' tab in the controls section? If you have and are still having trouble. Vent, I'll talk you through.
