After much discussion, the officers have decided to change the way loot is awarded in raids from a simple roll to a simplified DKP system.

The main reason for this change is to reward regular raiders as with the current system, someone who only turns up once every few weeks has as much chance of winning loot as someone who is at every single raid.

We will run a capped DKP system with an auto award set to award DKP at regular intervals.

  • At 20:10 everyone in the raid, including standby members are awarded 1 DKP. Please be on time or you will miss out on this award!
  • Every 30 minutes after this period the addon will auto award everyone in the raid 1 DKP. (This is why we have the standby members in the group, but not in the instance)
  • Bidding will be handled by the addon and you can bid what you want for the item, there are no timelimits for these bids to prevent sniping and a call to end the bidding will be decided by the ML.
  • You can bid more than you have up to -25 DKP for a single item transaction only. You will then have a negative number and will need to make that up before bidding again (So if something drops you really want, you won't lose out)
  • The DKP cap is to be set at 100. Anyone going over this will have DKP deducted for the cap. This will prevent hording and encourage spending on loot.
  • There will no longer be any offspec or mainspec rolls. If you want it, you can bid for it as you are not going to waste valuable DKP by bidding loads for an offspec item!  So if your want offspec loot !bid 1 and wait to see if a main spec wants it before increasing any bid.
  • Guest members (from other guilds or non-raiding ranked DMR members) can bid on items, however they cannot go into negative DKP so raiding members will always have their 'DKP overdraft' facility to use.
  • Regards BOE items ..... They goto main spec only usual bidding. If  nobody in Raid wants they will be sent to Guild Bank. The Items in  question will have a forum auction for dkp. They are available to Raid  members again only MS. The members bidding need to meet expected  attendance levels. If they are still not wanted or nobody meets the  requirements the items will be sold to help fund raid consumables and  high-end enchants

You can check on the website here; http://www.deadmen.co.uk/cmps_index.php?cc=dmrloot (NOTE: This will be reset before we start using DKP properly!)

And I recall seeing a setting in the addon that will enable users to /w the ML with a command that will return their current DKP. Once I verify this, I will post back.

Can I think another wish now? :P

obviously dont take this as the official word, but im sure the officers have plans to let the other people get their Trophies before moving them onto DKP - or keeping the same system i dunno

I'm already used to this kind of system, one of my old guild used a very similar dkp sistem. There is only one thing that i don't like: with this system every single member, even the one who are just backup members, will have to be in the raid to get the dkp. So with this system, if i'm a backup and i want my dkp, i have to be in the raid, and that means i cannot do dailies, quests, play on an alt and so on. I can only wait idly to be requested for the raid.  To me this seems pretty unfair, since it means that i will not enjoy the game at all while being at complete disposal of the guild. I have a couple of suggestions:
1) Award players more dkp for the effort put in raids, that means that every boss killed will award 1 more dkp to all the raiders and a bonus of 2 more dkp for first kills (just to make some examples). This will, in my opinion, encourage the members to put some effort in the fight.
2) Make a "backup people" room in ts. The members that are not needed at the moment in the raid will join this channel, they can do whatever they want, as long as they remain there and be online on wow. At the end of the raid, they will be awarded with a certain amount of dkp for their time (let's say 2 dkp each backup, just for example). This will allow players to actually play the game while being at the complete disposal of the guild (just give a shout on the backup channel and warn the one you need, in less than a minute he will be on his/her main ready to rock).
3) I really would like to have fixed prices for loot. For instance: 10 dkp for the trophy and 2h weapons, 5 dkp for 1h weapons, off-hand, cloaks, necklaces, trinkets and rings, and 3 dkp for everything else (just to make an example). So far the council has always taken the right decisions, at least from my point of view.

In addition, i've got a question: Are the patterns dropped in the instance following the same looting rules?

Lola

Have I been demoted :crying:

I'm not on the DKP list thingy

sheepy

the list only displays the top 100 toons, ie all the alts in the guild list will b in there its probably random that you are not there. you will appear on the list as soon as you get dkp

As Gandalf said, you can either go to the website, or you can whisper the person running DKP either:

!dkp

or !list

Either will give you DKP information.  Try it in game and see the result.  The whispers are not shown in the DKP person's chat so you will not be annoying them!

Wrong.  You can go play an alt.  DKP is awarded by the addon and it picks up who is in the raid, not who is online.  Yes this means you cannot go quest or do dailies, but then it is raid time not farming time right?  It's a small price to pay for a better system that will reward you in line with your commitment.
