I still quite enjoyed it, though.

Had a look at the DPS on the final attempt, the log puts overall raid DPS at 150,000 - is this enough?

according to http://www.wowwiki.com/Blood-Queen_Lana'thel_(tactics) the DPS needs to get an average of 9,8k..... ouch....

I am wondering tho is the DPS the ONLY problem? there are still people slacking at the blood link and at the shadows,,,,

One thing I mentioned from the original video posted was the spacing - you seemed way to spread out which meant people had to run a very long way to make the bite thus losing a chunk of dps time.  I assume this has been sorted now with much tighter grouping and shorter pathing?

You're still losing people to air phase damage.  That can be fixed.  Try to keep mid clear for the healers (they are tremor totem'd anyway I presume) then everyone else spreads around.  
Set an order for Hymns on each of the air phases to assist healing.  
Set an Aura Mastery rotation to cover each air phase - only Padding seemed to cast them but you had 6 palas in the raid so better coverage can be provided.
Everyone else needs to pot/HS and survive that bit.

DPS is not far off, but you are using 7 healers where 6 is more than manageable (and dropping to 6 healers gives you a huge slug of additional dps).   Out of choice you'd run

On the above logs you used 2 trees, 2 shaman, 1 priest, 2 palas.   You don't really need cross-beacons on this fight as the tank damage is not that high, especially if you have the odd hot, and a shaman or two CHing (one via the MT, one via the OT).  So the sole pala and the 2 shaman can handle both tanks and all of melee.  One of the shaman also takes responsibility for CHing the Pact trio as they come together.  That leaves 3 healers for the rest of the raid which should be more than enough.  That might help push you even closer to the kill.

I've been advocating Aura mastery for some time, but only Padding has any points in it. Ret Pallies CAN fit it into there builds for a significant raid buff.

Also - I was the only Prot pally with Divine Guardian, which is an epic talent, and simply criminal to leave out.

However, over the course of the night the "friendly fire" aspect of the fight got lower and lower, particularly Bloodwhirl, and we edged closer to the kill. Dropping to 6 healers will probably do it.

There were only 2 Holy pallies and only Padding has that talent.

As for DPS, we are WAY under needed number, which is 180.000 RDPS.  A quick look at the last try tells me that we had three offspec  DPS guys and also we missed couple of high DPS guys like Izzen, Malrador, Athuran, Dannage, Zeol. Together with one extra DPS spot we might be close to beat the timer, though.
And also we cant afford to have any dead buffed people.

We were trying to keep everyone as spread out as possible tbh... The reason why we are doing this is because she casts http://www.wowhead.com/spell=72981/shroud-of-sorrow, this spell seems to do the most raid damamge by far. Should we stack up anyway and tell the healers to stop slacking?

In the video you were too spread out, you still need to be spaced to avoid nuking each other, but it's the difference between maximum spreading and minimum possible.  If 8 bitten dps each have to run 30 yards to bite the next target, then you lose a chunk of buffed dps when compared to 8 bitten dps running only 15 yards for example.  Both raids might have been properly spaced, but the former by a far greater (too great) amount.

In Eluo all holy palas have AM builds and so do our ret palas.  It is a *massive* raid buff in many ICC fights.  I applaud Padding for having it already & just like Lee I strongly recommend it to the others.

90% of the damage taken in that raid is reduced by AM.

I apologize for having to run off after only a few attempts, but my presence was demanded elsewhere. It's a full time job chasing girls you know Hope to join for some more attempts next time around though. My gear is getting better and I no longer find myself at the bottom of the healing charts, so at least that's a start. I still seem to be using some different spellrotations then the other druids though, so I may have to rethink my strategy a bit.
