Hopefully there will be a demo again too, apparantly you can have a real good rant at a single player at half time :) that should be good, i beleive its like you you have a conversation with a player in fm11 about their performance

I havn't been able to get into one of these for a few years now, played them since cm2 & I think i've just burnt myself out on them - having said that, if there's a demo I might well give it a go.

Reviewed: The home screen is fresh and everything looks very clean and modern, Upon viewing a players profile a felt a bit lost with the way a players profile looks, It has the players attributes in a small window with the players profile with a bio of the players playing history (int caps first debut etc) it feels like theres alot of information going on in the players profile and quite a bit to process. But then again theres a tab on the players profile to view their attributes on there own in a clean display one you would expect to find in fm11 which seems a bit pointless to me, but i assume you would view the players profile at a quick glance.

Theres also a little i beside the player for a quick view of the player attribues current ability and potential ability which should provide to be useful when making a sub in a match.

Players Private chat: All of what you would expect comes back from fm11 here apart from you can ask a player to retire from international football & Reduce wage demands which i thought was quite a nice addition.

Managers profile: Looks more or less the same than in fm11 with a few additions theres an Achievement page on the managers profile which shows what you have won and how many times.

Team settings is now under team Policy.
Team report: This shows the players you have an there position and there rating of stars out of 5 (5 for the best) it also have the formation you have and the players that can play in that position and how good they will play there (out of 5 stars).
Interact with the board: Mostly the same as fm11 apart from you can set up trial days to attract players (which should be good for lower leauge teams) and start "Juinor coaching"
Transfer rumors: Usefull to see whom the other clubs might buy and nab the player before them :P

The player search tool had also had a revamp you can still expect to see everything you did in fm11 on here but resyled better which has made the look improved and more easier to use.

Starting a match seems quite strange i cant find the ask assistant button to pick the team for me, none the less it is better than fm11 it tells you the fimilarity of the tatic your using. team talk is also improved with alot more options and it tells you if you have motivated your player with the teamtalk or made him angry etc.

You can also give a team talk when making a sub which is cool & Ask assistant to give the team talk and see the effects of it.

I was really impressed with the in match view where you can view the match happening the graphics are improved ten fold compared with fm11 you can actully see if it was a good goal they scored or a scapy one with the detail of replays and changing camera views the match sounds still sound pants i hope i can mute them.

Very impressed with the demo and improvements, cant wait for the game

yup, half way through a season with Aldershot town. It's smoother than the last version, a lot more in depth (in my opinion) with regard analysing the upcoming opponent and trying to plan tactics around their weak points.

Match engine is good in comparison to last year, BUT, let's face it, with the likes of Fifa etc there's no excuse for it not to be almost photo realistic. That has to be the focus for next year.

Team talks are better, management of the player database is better, in all, it's the same, but better. If you've played before you'll know what I mean.

Yeah i know what you mean about the database, what do you mean by photo realistic

I got this about a week ago but currently entrenched in my mission to get Barnet into the prem on 2011.
This version sounds very good though.... May have to abort.

Although, I am in the Championship at the moment so maybe I'll stick!

Benny, Whats the processing like with all these extra features? Does it take a while to get a match started?
I have felt in the past that it sometimes takes to long to get going.

In 2011 I rejected all other information ie. world cup, agents, transfer gossip etc

Benny

Much quicker Zoot, a lot of clicking as usual to get from one game to the next, you can unsubscribe the usual messages and eliminate a lot of the chaf. The variable database size is a great addition, so you can add in a nations sides half way through a game. Still enjoying it.

Tutonic

I enjoy aggressively telling my players that the result doesn't matter.

Much confusion in my dressing room.

Sadly, Cambridge are still balls :(

Just finished 2nd season as Arsenal. With the two Manchester teams both dominating this and next years season its going to be tough.

I did win the Champions League in 2011/12 beating Barcelona in the final (after being 2 goals down at half time).

This season 2012/13 I came 3rd behind the two manc teams (previous season I came 2nd)... The manc teams are like steam rollers rarely losing - but thats true to life and it makes it more enjoyable for me.

I like the game, the dressing room chats are a load of rubbish - really about two of them only ever get a reaction the rest do nothing - if I tell my team do it for the fans/for the club etc - nada response. If I say I know you can do better or if I rollick them I get a response - personally - its so poorly integrated I could without it.

Match engine- some nice tweeks - better weather effects and not that stupid snow that used to give me motion sickness - nice pitch conditions etc and better 3D crowd (woo...) but not the advance I was hoping for and agree with Benny - they need to overhaul this massively for next year.

I also find the contract negotiations a load of dross - I mean you can offer someone double what they are on (with no other teams interested) and they simply refuse to be bartered down - so they'll refuse to come to a better club etc just for a few k - its very unrealistic (I should imagine!) and frustrating.

So far I've won: ECL, League cup x2, World club cup

Best player bought so far: Fernado Llorette - he's not cheap but he IS a goal machine - first season = 61 goals - and he beat Henrys previous record of 30 league goals in a season.

I'll post some screenshots of squad etc in a few days.

Great to see so many FMers :)
