Big gratz to RGT, but seriously blizzard being able to clear 5/8 on the first night of the raid should not really be that achievable, I just hope that the HC modes will be a challenge (which we will be at soon if tonight is anything to go by)

Every single boss has been a pushover in practice so far. Oneshotted the first two and the fourth. Took a few wipes on the one with the bouncy balls. Wiped the rest of the night on Ultraxion but every wipe there was personal error. Got our stuff sorted and then proceeded to kill him and end the raid. I reckon 6th will go down sunday for sure, maybe even 7th :-) Should be doing heroics by this time next week ;-)
or Garrit, or Torgen. Also, Livestream.

I dont think the last 3 bosses are quite as easy and are actually well tuned from what I have heard/seen of them. Most guilds seem to 'rush' through the first 4 or 5 and then it actually returns to proper difficulty. We will see on Sunday :)

I think I agree with you both, but also let's not forget the effort that is put in and the performance that it required.   Despite it being 'easy', doing 5 bosses on a single night puts DMR joint 5th on Aszune and joint 4th on Alliance for a single night's raid progress.  So it can't have been that easy!

Heroics I am sure will provide the greater challenge - I'm looking forward to them and wouldn't it be great if we could get there for next week by clearing 8/8 this week?  Two more raid nights to go, three bosses left before we can access heroics.  Now there's the challenge!

Just checked WoW progress and despite the top raid guilds having had two nights of raiding now and RGT having had only one night, we're still joint 7th on Aszune with our current 5/8 progress, or 11th in strict chronological progress after starting a day late.  That's a cracking result for DMR!

I am not questioning RGT's dedication, me being part of it :p but is clear, compared to the first tier in cata and firelands that the bosses are quite a bit 'easier' or just under tuned.

TeaLeaf

Other guilds went 8/8 in Firelands in week one, admittedly more appear to have further in Dragon Soul in week 1 so I'll agree this is easier than Firelands was.   However the fact that we're so high up the progress list means we've improved and got better relative to other raid guilds.  That's the bit I'm chuffed with.

Mind we also have quite some T12 heroic gear, as opposed to 0 of it when you went into FL, if I'm not mistaken?

We had some Heroic gear when Firelands came out, just not as much as we had when we went into Dragon Soul.  But when we finished Cata we ranked about 28th, when we finished Firelands we ranked 24th on Aszune, so where we are right now after a night is pleasing :)

The challenge now is to maintain or improve on tonight's performance!

Keep reading up on bosses, everyone. We were prepared for yesterdays bosses. Lets be the same for the next ones.

We need to be ready for the last 3 bosses now, realistically we could be clear by Sunday night if we play well, but that will only happen if we are prepped for it.

The only thing we were missing was a gnome warlock to sacrifice, if you were there we would have gone 8/8..

O well!

There were problems uploading the logs last night.  I'll try again today.
