I did an internal RGT vacancy post this morning.  I know we've not done this before, but with the growing interest in raiding within the guild I think it would be politically dangerous to have not let members know about it before we appoint someone to the raid spot.

In the future, I think it would be highly sensible to do a post like this every time we have a vacancy so that members can see they are getting the chance to apply for raiding.   If we don't, I see some moans being directed at us with some validity even if the people complaining would never have got the raid spot.

spot on .... I would be a tad miffed if i was a social that never got a chance to apply
