So Guys, Im considering coming back to WoW once I start work again and ofcourse i will be purchasing MoP, wondered if anyone wanted to write there own personal review of it so far, as whilst i trust IGN etc Its better to hear it direct from a player :)

HI Vlad,

Personally I love this xpac!!  The new zones are wonderful to travel through as you level up, there are very nice new instances to do as well as some old ones that have been re-worked for 5 man heroics once you reach level 90 and there are plenty of new factions with shiny gear and recipes once you have achieved sufficient rep with them (and more coming in the next patch).  That said, if you want to achieve exalted with all the factions as quickly as possible then prepare yourself for 20+ dailies per day (at revered) which can become a bit of a 'job'.  If you aren't in a rush to get exalted with them all for the gear rewards then I would suggest not doing all the dailies as it is one of the biggest moans in the expansion.

I don't do PvP so I can't comment on that aspect.

The loot rules have changed for LFR and you either get a piece or gear or just gold, there is nothing to roll on.  From your dailies you will earn both valour points and lesser elder charms which you can exchange once a week for 3 of the greater tokens and these can be used on boss kills in LFR, 10 man raids or on the world bosses to give a chance for bonus loot but again you could just end up with just gold.

All in all I think the expansion is great, I am loving the raids, the zones are well designed, there is plenty to keep you occupied and something for everyone. If you don't feel pressured into the daily grind then I'm sure you will love it!!

Oh and don't forget the Panda's and the Monk class.........

Some good things for sure.

However, the negatives are....

1. Talent system.......reduced to an almost pointless, optional selection. You can seriously play without any talents set.

2. Dailies .....dailies and more dailies. I am not sure if Blizzard intended it....but this tying of crafting recipes to multiple reps is ridiculously anti alt and for me takes away many of my reasons for playing Alts.........the side-effect will be less Alts played by less people which surely can't be a good thing. The forcing of everyone to grind the same mindless repetitive quests every damn day is my least favourite thing by a mile.

Warriors are OP'ed in PVP atm, so come back and enjoy the slaughter. Smash buttons = win >.< . But hurry, probs gonna be big nerfs inc.

Although the talents have been significantly reduced I don't feel it has really detracted from the game all that much as before, with me at least, I just looked up a spec and filled in the tree and then never looked at it again, now however a lot of my talents are useful for specific fights.

Don't even get me started on the dalies, I abhor the things, I completley binged on them for the first 2-3 weeks since launch and subsequently burnt myself on the entire game, I fell that this was a huge mistep on Blizzards part, it's not even the fact that I am opposed to dailes, I did the entire Argent Tournament in wrath, got every rep exated in cata, did the Netherwing and Quel'danas in TBC, but these are just on another level of grind that I cannot tolerate, msybe they should have introduced the factions gradually in some way rather than giving you about 8 reps as soon as you ding 90.

Switchback

If you dont like dailies then dont bother.

IMHO its the worst expansion yet.

Scenery is good, quests are ok when lvling. Dungeons and raids seem like rehashed crap.

Im enjoying pvp atm as SP are quite op,so as soon as we get nerfed im gona go :P

It is too much of a BORING grind.

As jes says i did the same went mental for 2weeks and its killed it for me i think they could of balanced it with dailys and dungeons not just :ranting2: dailys.

The dailies are driving me Crazy, as mentioned above the system almost seems purposefully designed to punish people who play alts with crafting professions.
to me that is a huge drawback.

The guy asked for a rewiev.
Stop whining, kids.. And stop doing them dailies if you dont like them. Srsly...

Professions on alts:
Yes, there is a point here... But Blizzard do not want the market overflooded with cheap epics from day one. I like this way of doing it... No, I love it! I was not a fan when cheap epics are floating around like in Cata. Myself; Im focusing on my main's profession and that is where I have to make my gold. Other can whine.

Oh, and... Spirit of Harmony might be BoE pretty soon, Bllizzard claim... I like that they hold this back.

Let me put it back on track.
You only need to do dailies (for gear) until honored. From that moment and onward... you can buy almost everything (ilvl489) from Valor Points.
Valor Points can be obtained through dailies, Scenarios, Challenge Mode Dungeons, Heroic mode dungeons and LFR/normal/hc raids.

The rest of it:
Graphic is greatly improved. And the scenery is beautiful. New quests and ... different way of doing them makes leveling (and dailies) funnier and quicker than before (IGN rewiev is spot on). You have a cool new class, challenging raid encounters, fun storylines, new BGs, easier talents that you can change whenever you feel like it, new shitlooking race. The heroic dungeons are fun aswell. And if you do not have time for a 30-40 min dungeon... Do a scenario instead? Less rewarding, but still fun.

Its the best expansion they had.

The good news is that the dailies (even if you want to do them to Exhalted) do not last too long.   There's a nasty period where a couple of faction rep grinds overlap (which is where a few of the above are I guess), but I found once Klaxxi & Golden Lotus were out of the way that the dailies took me less than 30 mins each day and often closer to 15 mins.

Overall though it's a fun expansion.  I quite like the environment and am growing to like the simplified talent tree as it gives me the ability to respec between encounters to choose talents abilities more appropriate to that boss (it costs one Tome - the MOP equaivalent of the Dust you used to use to remove a Glyph).

The raids are a bunch of fun too at the moment, much nicer degree of complexity than some previous 'tank & spank' raid content.

The game has changed drastically.

In general:

- Leveling from 85 - 90 is a long run, you have to be patient specially if you're planning to level alts.
- Leveling professions from 525 - 600 is extremely easy.
- Gaining reputations with factions is done by doing daily quests, around 8 factions available atm in the game and also these daily quests are good source for gold (1k gold / day) and Valor Points (200 VP / day) if you complete all the quests / day.
- Some reputations require pre-request standing with other faction reputation, so it is going to take a while to start getting the rep for them.
- You can gain extra loot from any raid boss / world boss by using the golden coin (the daily quest will give you 2 silver coins, once you have collected 90 of them you can change them for 3 golden coin / week).
- There is no more "LFM BH" instead there are new world bosses (1. Sha of Anger: 2 hours spawn timer. 2. Galleon: 3 -4 days spawn timer). These bosses will drop epic.
- The new way of distributing the loot in LFR is really good to avoid being ninja'ed. Also the new mechanism for getting an extra loot by using golden coin is the real fun (unless if you're jinxed).
- Cooking now is a total different story where you need to handle your farm (plants, harvest etc) also there are many ways for cooking like Grilled (for Strength food).

As a Warrior:

In this xpac I'd say dps warriors are really fun to play, there is no more "GO ARMS!" because fury sux. So it is fine to say you can play THREE dps spec's if it is not FOUR (including protection).
Going TG, SMF or even Arms is all about your preference but you will find some encounters will favor one spec over others.
Changing talent points or glyphs is easy, you don't need to go to your trainer and re-do your talent. Just keep the dust in your bags and change whatever before the pull.

PvP-wise:

Just one word: OP.
I've seen a warrior killed a DK in arena during the charge stun (ofc he was using recklessness).

Hope that's gonna help you.

Guru.

Ok. I get the fact that I don't have to do the dailies if I don't want to, but seriously what else is there to do? Grind Dungeons/Scenarios? They seem to have the idea that dailies should be 75% of the content if you don't count the raiding, which is ridiculous. Speaking of the raids though, they are some of the best I have played since TBC, the environments are great and the fights are equally so, if the raids weren't so great I wouldn't have stuck around tbh.

TBh I think there is more to do now when not raiding than ever before!! Dailies aside you can do pet battles if that floats your boat, go tend your farm, grind achievements in the new dungeons/scenarios as well as old content, PvP (apparently), alt levelling (you could even try a Panda!).  It doesn't have to be all about the dailies :P

totally agree with Riggy here, there is always something to do. Ok the dailies are a grind but you are rewarded for it.
I love this expansion a lot more then cata.

I totally agree.  There is more to do on your main in this expansion than any other.  Yes the rep grind can be just that a long grind but you don't need to do all of the factions.  I'm about to finish the last faction to exhalted so it didn't really take that long. I like the dungeons although the difficulty should have been higher and the raids so far have been great.  Thumbs up from me!
