I used Nekros today for a survival but kept the other skill on there. I never considered taking them off to apply other mods. Terrify is useful but Soul Punch and Shadows I never even used in 40 mins of survival. I had Focus, Flow, Stretch and another power mod for efficiency. Worked great.
Building Nova as you advised.

What rifle are you recommending?

Depending on what you want to accomplish and what kind of enemy you face. Such great spray'n'prayers like Soma, Dera, Flux Rifle(which I adore greatly), Cestra and Gorgon burn down ammo too fast for long runs even with ammo mutators, but do awesomely during short ones.
Penta and Ogris, on the contrary, are the most ammo sparing ones, since their grenades are considered a rifle bullet by game mechanic.
Among assault rifles my personal favorite is Karak. Among shotguns - Tigris. Folks say good things about Embolist pistol - tried it... meh. Maybe being polarized couple of times it becomes something better? Oh, Stug is a great side arm btw.
Community's favorite is definitely Synapse, having a ridiculously high status chance and crit (note that with the last update crit chance with weapons like Flux Rifle or Synapse is being calculated every second) - will have to experiment on her a lot when I get my hands on her (the last dojo research gun I don't have atm).

Ever since DMG 2.0, IMO, every weapon is rather versatile through combination of elements and considering missions and enemies you're about to face. Some have their unique features (Flux Rifle, for instance, can be fired while being cloaked by Shade; bows kick ass with multishot and thunderbolt) but luckily the game itself is quite balanced.

P.S. Nova's great, I think you'll like her. She's fast, she's deadly, some folks hate her for "stealing" frags though - every one marked with her ult, whoever kills it, will be counted as hers anyway. The exp is being shared anyway, so I don't find anything particularly bad about it.

I could use some pointers on how to use those drops that you get.

Welcome mate. I'll catch you later on TS and give you the intro. Like I said yesterday though. Don't spend your initial Platinum. Keep it for Frame and Weapon slot purchases.

I'm terms of drops. Check my earlier post about Orbs. Things that look trapezium shaped are ammo.

Mods and Fusion cores are silver discs. They can be combined in the mods section of the arsenal to level them up using the Fusion option.

Modestly low level up at the start to preserve credits and also you won't have the XP levels to use over levelled gear.

I've made everyone Sage level so you have Dojo control.

Please discuss any architectural changes in the forum before demolishing anything already built. Only rule I've stuck to building it was not to make dead ends where possible, (suggest gardens as they are 4 way rooms) and add a reactor in each new section so we have the power to continue building. (Oh and an obstacle course has been built and it's hard to get round in 3 minutes limit!).

Likewise, tax is currently zero, any discussion over changing that we should have in the forum. I'm not for charging people to be in the clan or for selling items at the trading post.

Only thing not in Sage is recruiting, which I can add if everyone feels it would be useful but we should stick to the dMw rule.....

Any new Clan members in game should first sign up for our forums before they are invited please.

For the rest, where can I find that ore thing for the pistol you were talking about? It seems I have 1/2 but can't get the last part and have been grinding the planet it should be on. Or is that still on one of the first planets with the guy you have to take down?

Also, is there a level cap on weapons etc? Like 30?

The parts to the Seer pistol drop from the Boss in Mercury the first system. Just rinse and repeat until you have the blueprint and 2 parts.

Everything levels up to 30 but if you apply a Orokin Catalyst to a weapon you get 2 mod points for each level I.e. 60. Same with the Warframe, upgrade to 60 points with an Orokin Reactor.

If you enter the dojo there will be rooms and research where they are in a contributing state. Anyone can add resources by pressing X on the console and entering the part being built.

So I've built Nova now, up to Level 24 already. I did a ODD and we reached Wave 35 no problem.

I've noticed the players that really know their stuff don't run off hunting frags. They stick close to the artifact and apply their skills killing all the enemies close to the artifact whereby avoiding runnign all over the map to pickup loot.

So we had a Vauban centering the Vortex on the Artifact. Oberon healing and throwing enemies around. My Nova and another I think might have been Nyx. We could have gone another 10 rounds I think and I was only level 18 at that point.

Stug and Flux are building although I built a Soma a few days ago and that has a Conclave rating of 392 fully levelled and it's brutal. You can even snipe with it it's so accurate.

If anyone manages to pickup the parts to Vauban (I have 2 out of 4) then please build it. Also we could do with an Oberon for Defence missions, we'll kick a55 with these 2.
