I did. I doubt there's any difference in function - just the delivery method.

Ah ok so glass no longer looks continuous but rather lots of single panes connected.

Use the patcher in this thread and the glass issue is fixed.

If you're having trouble with this and the glass blocks won't correct themselves even with a patch.

1) Go into: C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\
2) Select all and deselect resourcepacks
3) Delete everything apart from resourcepacks
4) Launch the 1.6 Launcher App and let the game redownload everything fresh
5) Launch the game, then quit totally
6) MCPatch the game selecting all options on the front screen
7) Launch the game, choose your texturepack and join the server
8) You should now have glass back to normal.

hmmm did all that still seeing the wooden frames on all glass

through careful management I\'ve got most of it left.

And if you see wooden frames then all is well, they're supposed to be there.

Whatever's gone wrong it's not my fault.

I thought that on large sections of glass instead of glass with wooden frames rouns all glass, it would be only round the outside like below on the left, while mine is like the right (click to enlarge)

You should see solid glass as per the left of your diagram. The border around all glass issue was fixed with the latest patcher. Patch again. It should look like this ...

Click the long 'Patch' button.

Then in your launcher, make sure that the version (top right) is: release 1.6.2-mcpatcher

Seems I'm not patched right either if a border round each block is wrong. To be honest though I think I prefer the blocky look.
