Ender Dragon Egg Temple/Monument

Fellow miners/crafters...

Its time for another community get together to build something to house the egg we fought so bravely to obtain.

Obviously people have their own projects going on that they are dedicating time to but it would be nice to get some sort of monument or temple built in order to show off our shiny reward.

So...if anyone has any ideas of what we could build together and some ideas of where would be the best place to build it, please share and we can get 'cracking'.

yep still there right next to the entrance, I may have used the stone though......

but I have put a portal back to the main nether portal zone as well

im up for it, Ive leveled a 71 x 71 block area with the center  marked so it would be easy to expand this with that center point if needed ..if you know what i mean?

Workshop and living area are now built ready to start the big build and area has now been extended. Fences have been built to keep out the nasties. Just need loads more end stone now to finish the base.

I've been thinking, it would be nice to have some of the temple built with rare-ish materials to make it that little more special, I'm thinking some diamond blocks etc somewhere :norty: and other expensive stuff on show

I had originally posted an offer to go on an end stone gathering mission, then read something telling me I can't come back without slaying the dragon.. (Never been before so a little unsure about it all) That might be a little much on my todd but I'd happily join in on a group mission. If there's anything I can help gather in the regular world I'm off work tomorrow, just let me know and I'll get on it

We've been to the end and killed the dragon. The portal now lets you go to the end and gather resources you need. Just take a pumpkin helmet to avoid the endermen. someone can give you the coordinates of where to access it.

The coordinates on the dynmap are 369,65,664

I should be around tomorrow night if you prefer to have someone show you around the end. The portals are slightly different to the normal portals, and also when you leave the end you don't end up back where you entered the end if that makes sense.

At the moment we just need to collect some end stone and then we can start to map the first layer of the temple and go from there.

Thanks man Got quite a few xp at the moment so will bump them up and enchant something, then probably watch a youtube video so I know what to expect. I'll see what the time is then and decide whether it's worth going it alone and getting cracking, or waiting for your guidance.. I'm assuming death results in waking up at home, if I discover otherwise in the meantime I'm definitely waiting haha. Really like the build by the way, good choice

when you leave the end you transport to the last bed that you slept on, luckily just on the northern side of the big square (where the build will be) there is a building, inside is a bed, use this and you respawn there. Remeber you can only use the bed at night

And if that one ever gets broken...... there is another end portal that hasn't been activated yet, the site was all kitted out as an alternative launch point in case there was an issue with the original entry point.

I should come and check on my livestock and finish off my "projects".

Need to check my chests to see if I gathered any endstone, don't think I ever returned after we destroyed the dragon.
