Cant wait for the next book - the winds of winter, im about 10% from the end of A dance of dragons, but chances are its going to be 18 months - 2 years till the next book even though in a interview a while ago George RR Martin did say that his is having to try to get them out quicker as the TV series are going to catch him up to quickly.

After tossing in a second rape scene that wasn't in the books, HBO may have given us even more than was intended this week and let the cat out of the bag in respect of the future direction of some of the storyline.   HBO's Go service lists character names, one of which was either an accidental lore coincidence or might be taken to indicate a direction for part of the storyline.  HBO then fairly quickly removed said 'spoiler' from the HBO Go details, so make of that what you will.

I thought this might happen - have the TV producers decided that they can't wait for Martin, and that they are going to go off in a different direction? It's already diverging pretty significantly from the books....

Not sure it is going in a different direction too much at the moment, it's just that they might have inadvertently made a link to a future 'as yet not meant to be known' part of the unpublished books.

I have a bit of a dilemma which I'm hoping you guys can help me with.  Just finished watching the first 3 series and had set series 4 to record, however it seems I forgot to include episode 1.  All I can find on catch up is the first three series via the sky box set thingy and on catch up they every episode of series 4 except the first one. I really want to continue watching this but don't want to skip an episode, does anyone know of anywhere I may be able to watch this? It's driving me crazy
