Any of you guys playing this? I'm currently wondering around looking friends and everyone shoots me in the face on sight, so I'm looking for some company, and you guys are nicer than publics :)

For those who don't know what DayZ is, it's a Zombie survival game with Player vs Player enabled. You start off with just a flashlight and a battery and spend your time scavenging for clothes, food, water and weapons whilst avoiding bandits (non-friendly players) which there are alot of!

The game is currently £20 in the steam store, and is in an early Alpha testing stage so there are quite a few flaws in the game, such as zombies can go through walls, but not upstairs. I'm still new to the game myself so this is about all I know, but I have thoroughly enjoyed the 6 hours I have played. I don't know from experience, but I would imagine it would be a lot easier to survive as a team rather than a lone wolf in this game, so if any of you guys want to team up, hit me up on Steam or on here.

Edit: Posted here because the game is built off the ARMA II engine, feel free to move as appropriate.

through careful management I\'ve got most of it left.

TwoBad

I've got it but have been playing Arma 3 more of late.  Both Cheesy and Blob have it and play it quite often, more if someone is around for them to join forces with.

The fact it is in alpha is putting me off getting it.

I play it! in fact I took a 5 year break from PC gaming only pottering about in COD on my ps3... however Dayz has got be back to regular PC gaming.... It is WAY better when you got a mate or two to play with, you'll enjoy better survival chances and be able to have some fun pratting around etc.

I was on here looking for peeps to team up with myself.  I tend to only play hardcore servers though as they limit the view to first person.... 3rd person view is stupid but the visual advantages it offers means I cant play on regular servers and ignore it.
