PAX East discussion:
The Freelancer commercial will likely be late May, followed at some point by the Connie and Cutlass. The Freelancer commercial will be the first to use their facial capture system, and it allegedly looks great.  

PAX East rumour:
The Freelancer is getting what sounds to be quite the upgrade, they looked at it and realized that it was not big enough for the cargo they said it was going to haul so it is getting reshaped

Really wish they'd stop doing this. I promised I would wait till the game launched and not buy any more ships, but they're making it very difficult. :/

I am a fighter pilot, my father was a fighter pilot, his father was a fighter pilot as was his fathers father. No matter how amazing the new Freelancer DUR looks I will not buy some long range explorer and drift amongst the stars, finding fantastical new systems and worlds..... I will not.......I will not........

I can at least wait until game launch and acquire it in game..... can't I?

Yes, apart from the MIS I presume?  Although I also recall that they said everything would be available in-game except Idris-M.

I quite like the options, but I already have haulers (Connie/Banu MM) and have plans to acquire an explorer (Anvil Aerospace Carrack) when it becomes available, so if I did anything the logical thing would be to do a missile ship (MIS variant) which has a different role to anything else in my hangar.  The Freelancer MIS is also the limited edition variant, so might be the more rare - and from my AC experience to date I realise that my gunnery skills suck, so missiles might be a far better way for me to shoot at things!

I'm leaning towards the MIS too.

I'm aware I don't have a fighter per se (my Hornet is the 'Tracker' variant) so if we were to group up in battle I don't have anything that adds firepower to the party. As my gunnery skills are pretty poor too then a missile boat makes sense.

might have a freelancer as my second ship, then the idris later on.avenger for bountys, freelancer for exploration then idris , if the real big guns are needed.

Watching the advert got a real Firefly feel for it, and started to reach for my wallet but then I thought of Oldie and you :) and thought they are getting enough support from you guys for the moment. :)
