My best time so far is a 1:25.7, Still learning the track though.  I reckon I can get another 1.5-2 seconds off that time.

One tip I found to help with the blind corners, is look out for the cones.  They seem to be there to give you a reference for the turn in point on the blind corners.

I think you need to find some more seconds

This track is borderline acceptable for me.  The AI don't work and it only has one replay camera...But I think it suits this car quite well, it's fun, it looks nice too.  If you find any major problems post here.  As far as I can tell there are no serious track glitches.

I don't know why but this has never been one of my favorite tracks. First encountered in it F1 GP in '92 and never learned to like, but don't really hate it either. I understand this was designed for TV broadcasting in mind and not so much racing (maybe that explains my mixed feelings). OK, let's see how this works in AC.

Just for information: The track has an issue which prevents the "delta" calculations, so there is only limited ptracker support for this one; the laps are all saved, however. Besides that I think that the SLS is very well suited to this. I think it is fastest to take the hairpin sideways :)

Got a 1:54.2 with this set:

Good racing yesterday.   That Merc is lots of fun, we will have to do it again soon I think on a different track :)

The server has been updated to the latest version (thanks Whitey for assistance).  Should be operational again now, including the latest version of Stracker/Ptracker.

New possibilities for server difficulty rules have been added to this version:

ABS: Options are- Factory setting, Force On, Force Off  =  We will use Factory (which lets you choose, Hopefully!)
Traction Control: Options are- Factory setting, Force On, Force Off  =  We will use Factory (which lets you choose)
AutoClutch = We will Allow Auto Clutch
Stability Control: Artificial traction Control = This will be OFF
Tyre Blankets: This allows you to start with pre heated tyres = Could be interesting, I will leave it OFF for now

Dynamic Track:  This setting allows you to set a lower track grip level for the start of a session and let the track get more "grippy" by a certain % as laps are completed= this is OFF. I think it is better to have this setting turned off when we are still learning new cars and tracks and trying to get a feel for the physics.  This setting could cause frustration, for now.

Damage Multiplier, Fuel usage and Tire Wear can all be set to a certain percentage.  We have them all at 100%.

Please note I am not dictating these rules!  If anyone has an opinion one way or the other on a particular setting, please let us know!  I have chosen them based on how we run Live For Speed.  And I think our ethos for over there was as much realism as possible, within reason.  For example; Stability Control, anyone can get used to driving with this turned off.  But Auto Clutch on the other hand is not realistic at all, but you have to accommodate every-bodies controller setup etc.  Another Example is Forced Cockpit view.  I think if Assetto ever allows this I would use it for our sever too.

Anyway, let me know what you think. :racing:

I would have chosen exactly the same settings

Cheers!

Here () is a set for this - good enough for a 2:05.1

The more I drive this, the more I like it :)

An update to Server and Client was released about 18:00, no change log :/.  I have updated the server, seems to be working ok.  I hope they have improved the sound/volumes!

Cheers for the setup neys!  I'll be on about 8 or so, if anyone else is around

110 MB update without even upgrading the version ?!? Italian SW development style :D

The ONLY way to fly :yahoo:

Interestingly,I also tried the BMW GT2 and my lap times were almost identical to the 458
(within .5sec) so perhaps a 'class' race could be a possibility.:g:
