Assetto Corsa Server: Track and Car Combinations

I did a 1:30 with default setup
       a 1:27 with neys' pony setup
       a 1:26.60 with default and -1 on the front ARB (does make a big difference)

I think I need some thing else to be quicker than 1:26 though!

Yeah, the 'taz' comes to my mind too when thinking 1:23 times

The pony set didn't work for me either. I made my own from default, then -1 on the front ARB and then thousand and one back and forth tests. My best is now 1:25.8. The problem is being fast and consistently reliable...now I'm more like consistently 110% occupied keeping the car in control and I still make offroad excursions every second or third lap :sideways:

Oh yes this thing loves to bite.

I just could not get under 1.24 with Neys set, I tried the rear ARB up to 3, better..and just on the right side of tying to kill me. I tried Diff coast at 70%, better, and for me a little more consistent than the rear ARB mod. Down to 1.24.028
Then I tried the two together... AT LAST 1.23.6
Don't think I race with it like that. just lets me carry a little more into the turns, but isn't as consistent, and does slide the rear a bit if you don't stay on top of it.

So it will prob be Neys set, but 70% coast for me tomorrow.

I'm bit on the same side as Deetz. Neys set felt too gentle and it didn't want to turn into corners as much I wanted. It is odd that it had 80% on power diff but it still felt easy.

I tried  some laps on the server. Managed to do 1:24.1 with my set.

It's much nicer online because you don't get that 5 sec halt every time you go bit off track which feels like the game saying "FU, get a taxi" making me feel angry :taz:

You can disable this in single player as well. When you choose a combo, you can deactivate the "Penalties" option under the session tab. I always have this off because I'm off the road too many times

Nice times!  I still can only do a 1:25.5.  I spin so many times at that corner in the pic below!

I'm not sure what place that is. Is that the place just before the slow left hander (turn #3 in the map?)? I have to coast a bit for the slight right turn before the tight left turn. Otherwise I cannot get a straight line for braking to the slow left hander and lose it.

Well I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed last nights racing.

It  wasn't the crash fest it could have turned into. Not so many on for this  tricky combo, but I hope all those who did turn up enjoyed it as well.

I  think I can safely say that everyone had a little off or two (or  three), but I was amazed at how many close clean races there were, and  the general consistency of the racing, excellent. Well driven everyone.

Was fun. It did go better than feared. I found racing bit hard because I felt straying off the line easily ment you could go off the track especially with this car. Added to that I was feeling quite ill. I was tired, had headache and possibly some temperature

Nice choice of combo with the Cobra last week Deetz.  It was tricky, but tons of fun!  As I mentioned yesterday, the Cobra is very nice for a mod.

That is quite a cool track to learn! Amazing what is possible on this circuit with this car:) It's gonna be great fun on monday!
