For the Type 6 that route served me well but there may be others that are better because that ship can single jump over 30LY (less with full cargo and weapons). There may be a starting point at the lower right edge of the map with a very profitable cheap to buy item that sells 2 jumps away but can recall it right now. But single jump the Ross to Assellus is great.

Never visit "Anderson Escape" at CM Drago - it's 200,000 Ls from the Nav beacon. :ranting2:

Just saw this on Reddit.

QuoteWhen just starting out or when very low on credits (i.e. you can't afford a Hauler with a full load of Agri-Meds from Aulin), go to LP-98 in a sidewinder. Once there, super cruise around and hop into any "Unknown Signal Source" you find (usually near planets and such).
When you find one with gold, scoop as much as you can hold. Be ready to gtfo, sometimes pirates pop in to blow you up. If pirates do jump in, hit boost (once is enough) and turn off Flight Assist (default keybinding is z) and put 4 pips into system. Activate your jump drive asap. Don't forget to retract your cargo scoop.
When you have a full load of Gold, go to I Bootis (via Eranin) to sell it. You need to dodge the Viper patrols outside the station from scanning you on your way in or they will blow you up for carrying stolen cargo. Once in station you will find the black market under "Contacts" and they will buy your gold at almost 5k a unit.
You can optionally dock in Freeport to sell your gold. Then you don't have to worry about NPC Vipers scanning you and blowing you up. Instead you have to worry about other players camping the station and the black market there being saturated with gold so they are not currently buying any.
When you have some 40k credits, buy a Hauler. Go to I Bootis and fill it with fish, go and sell it in Aulin. In Aulin, buy Terrain Enrichment Systems (?) and go back to I Bootis to sell them. If you cannot afford a full load of Terrain Enrichment Systems instead buy Agri-Meds (less profit but cheaper). It is more important to fill your cargo hold fully!
When you can afford a Cobra MKIII and 36 units of Terrain enrichment Systems and have at least 50k credits to spare, upgrade to a Cobra MKIII and keep going.
When you can afford a Lakon Type-6 and 100 units of Terrain Enrichment Systems and have at least 100k credits to spare, upgrade to a Lakon Type-6.
When you have enough to buy 100 units of Indium and have 100k credits to spare, go to Surya and use the trade route below until you can afford a Lakon Type-9 and have enough for 440 units of Indium and have 500k credits to spare, upgrade to a Lakon Type-9.

Start in Surya, buy Indium
Go to Ovid (via Magec if needed) and sell the Indium, buy Crop Harvesters.
Go to Magec, sell Crop Harvesters, buy Animal Meat, Coffee or Tea.
Go to Surya, sell Animal Meat, Coffee or Tea.
In a fully loaded Type-9 that's about 900k a lap.

Thought I'd share this profitable route with the group:

LFT 880 [Baker Platform]
- Beryllium (1353 per ton profit) or Gallium (1214 per ton profit)
via Nang TA-Khian
to Bolg [Moxon's Mojo]
- Crop Harvesters (345 per ton profit)
to Wyrd [Vonarburg Co-Operative]
- Tea (369 per ton profit)
via I Bootis
to LHS 3262 [Louis De Lacaille Prospect]
 - Consumer Technology (1263 per ton profit)
via I Bootis
to Ovid [Bradfield Orbital]
- Heliostatic Furnaces (104 per ton profit)
via I Bootis & LHS 3006
back to LFT 880 [Baker Platform]

Hauler makes 137,360CR , Anaconda makes 782,952CR and Lakon 9 makes 1,510,960CR per round.

Nice route. I'll try it later. Thanks.

Have they already got hull wear in the game then? I thought that was something coming in beta 2? Or do paint jobs just constantly sit at a slightly worn state even when brand new at the moment.

I kinda wanted the wireframe Cobra paint job, but i'm not paying £10 for it... I would have paid £3 maybe, a bit of a premium over the £2 other paint jobs cost individually, or £10 if it was a pack with a version for every ship that would be in the game, but not for just the one paint job...

I don't think the wear is built into the game yet, just the paint job has that effect. I got the Viper pack and the Wireframe Cobra, I had a moment of weakness uncharacteristic of a tight 4rsed Scotsman! I also bought a 30th Anniversary T.

Spoke to Albert about this last night, but for everyone else....

I got the cash for a Hauler, but the limited range was bugging me, however with only 70,000 another ship was a way off, so I bought a 53,000CR Framedrive and upped my load from 48T to 75T, going from a class H to a class D.

Now I can jump 18.1Lyr fully laden and around 20Lyr on empty. I can travel the length of the available universe in around six or seven jumps without refuelling! Last night I was a system away from Albert, then ten minutes later I was over 100Lyr away!

But, there is a glitch/bug. After I bought the Framedrive, I set off from the station and tried to jump and.. nothing. Dead. Power? Blown Fuse? No idea. went back to space-dock and landed. Outfitting then had ZERO Framedrives and I had not much money. Stranded. Damn. After contemplating ship destruct, I went and made a cuppa (quitting to main menu while I did) with the intention of returning, and raising a support ticket.

When I came back and re-loaded the game, pow! My list of available systems was like a phone book! So launched and Framedrive spun up and I was 20Lyr away in a single jump! Awesome.
