There's a lot of logic.  If earning the ships wasn't fun, everyone would start off with all the ships.  There is gameplay value there and it would be good for the org to have a few different goals.

Personally, I don't have loads of free time, so I'd rather start the game at the point where I feel I'd get the most fun.  So I have my own ships.

As I said, it would depend on the ship :)

I voted maybe, but as has been said I don't actually think we are missing anything we are going to be able to buy, an Idris would be the obvious thing, but doubt we'll see them again and I do think it may actually be more fun aiming to buy one in game, by then we will probably have a better idea what we can actually use it for, as well as CIG may have given us the tools to do it properly.

Agreed Andy, I think the consensus is building a typical distribution with the majority saying 'hold on until we know more'.   Sounds like something to park until we see what mechanisms are in place and whether we even need additional ships.  Certainly my expectations are that if we get the mechanisms then I am hoping to be able to set some of my ships to be available to others and I think others have a similar view too.

You're not wrong. As long as insurance is maintained all should be good :D

Yep.  Not a lot of point in my ships gathering dust and a couple of them are better used by an org than an individual anyway.

I think we're concentrating too much on the pledge system of ownership. There are countless difficult situations that can come up if a group pledge to own an asset that is donated to a wider group.

How we as an Org could contribute to acquire (resources, Credits etc.), own and maintain a large ship so it always is in peak condition with active insurance and what more crew it fairly are the things I'm interested in. So if we're into crowd grinding/ contributing so the Org benefits quickly by getting a ship an individual would take months to acquire in game then that would be a good result. In Warframe we have labs that many players can add their resources to and accelerate the creation of new items. The build of the item is owned by the Org/ Clan and and until an individual wants to make their own personal version the means to create is in the hands of the clan in the Dojo.
