3. watch an enemy stand in front of you while you revive people

4. Watch a group of enemies walk up behind someone while they are oblivious and you can't say a thing
I only know my own ideas of other peoples ideas.

5. watch the enemy sneak up behind the person reviving you only for the enemy to have dead mans click and then start to reload

I came into this world with nothing,
through careful management I\'ve got most of it left.

6. Learn from your mistakes, figure out why you got shot, and how you can minimize this.

Touché. I guess that ones aimed at me as I suggested you needed to revive your dead team.

The problem is that historically we've had people do just the - 'Ohh, I just need to kill this person in front of me', then another, then a wiggle for five minutes to get into a better position to get someone else then they die themselves. It happens time and time and time again and we've lost players as this selfish self-glorification behaviour is irritating to watch, to observe and be a part of.

That's why the admins are so hot on getting people to revive others. Crawl away on your belly if you have to and go revive the person furthest away from the action. I've only seen one or two instances when that's impossible due to incoming fire - Sunday night was not one of them. IMHO you chose the wrong people to revive first. You went to the closest which was why you were shot. If you had gone to the furthest back then it would most likely have been OK. Don't get me wrong, you're a great player (far better than I ever will be) and we like the little TwoBad clan as you're good fun to play with and a genuinely nice bunch.

I probably go the other way and go revive people in what are probably arguably stupidly suicidal circumstances. That's just me and not the right to play probably. I play a medic and enjoy that role. Others enjoy racking up the kills. There's a need for both.

It's a balancing act and it's a fine line.

Please don't take this as a criticism as it's not. I just wanted you (and everyone else who plays) to get the back story to why there's a marked shift in telling people to revive, revive and revive. We're not prepared to lose regular players due to what is seen to be selfish play by others (your name has never come up btw :)).

Anyway, I've just totally overstepped my authority by posting this reply and I'm sure Uncle Toby will send me a nice PM because of it .

Cheers.

Oh, and for me.....

Pen does bring up the point that we are very hot on the revive subject.   And we are getting better but it will be something that I and the Admins will continue to help steer us in the direction of Epicness.

Pen PM sent.

Reviving in ARMA III is the epic equivalent of the pit stop in F1! That's what I take away from reading this post.

1-100 = beer. With or without chips. Sausage roll for bonus points.
101 = gaze silently into the glistening, beautiful eyes of my competent, fearless teammate as I am revived promptly, only to continue to follow the orders of our glorious leader (/overlord), willingly heading once more unto the breech.

I think he's talking about a game we had a couple of Wednesdays ago Pen.  Testing his map one enemy ended up killing us all over the course of a few minutes as we tried to revive.  It was quite funny as we ended up with a large pile of dead dMw at the hand of a very persistent AI who kept coming back just at the right/wrong time and everyone who was dead could see him coming.

Nps and my bad. It also fitted to Sunday night.

Either way it was a good opportunity to push our 'Revive to thrive' ethos :)

Totally agree.  Smilo's mission really promoted teamwork on that front
