Tutonic

I use red switches at home for gaming, and brown for work (they're lovely to type on).

Blue switches are nice, but make one hell of a racket.

They are identical except for a slight difference in the embossed logo. Corsair had a rebrand a year or so ago.

Aha, I'm being thick. Absolutely yes. The Corsair gaming software does get a bit of stick for being rubbish. As you say it's not needed for the K70 as there is nothing to program.

I brought the k70 gen 3 in the end with cherry red keys, I coming tomorrow so along as I get home I'm time to collect it that is. But should be interesting to see what it's like

As mentioned it's not got anything to set up, just plug it in and off you go. One thing both Tutonic and I have done is add some O rings under each key. The Cherry reds are noiseless i.e they have no click. However you can still bottom out the keys when they are pressed, which makes a clicking sound. It's obviously best not to press the keys all the way down, but that can take a while to get good at. I find that the O rings provide a softer feel and are quieter if I do over press the keys.

Yeah I know it's bad to bottom out. Key I learnt that for the videos that's in this chat, and it's why I went for the cherry red because there quiet I didn't want to loud blue ones, but I will ask what's a o ring ?
