Ok, coming back to the polo thing, I'm now confused as to what we agreed to last night.   I *thought* we agreed to go with the polo as posted earlier in this thread (version 1), but reading this I am not not sure we have full support.   So, two questions:

    I had come back to this thread this morning to say that it struck me overnight that nothing on our polo design said '20th birthday'.    Did we want to keep the design totally plain as in the post above, or did we want to go with something that shows the 20 years? (like the below amended image (version 2)
  • Did we complete the discussion about 'Dead Men Walking' in version 1?   Personally:
I'm not sure 'dMw' would work, the image would be unbalanced.  
'dMw LAN XXX' might work.  
'Dead Men Walking' anchors the graphic on a foundation and works.
'1996 - 2016' would work.
For me I'm not bothered if people ask what Dead Men Walking is, so I'm the wrong person to ask if it is fine, but I know it is the best option in terms of balancing the graphic.
  • Final question - if we add a second line of text we need to reduce the size of the dMw logo a little.  So if we want a second line of text then we need to be comfortable that we will have a reduced size logo.


So, quickly please, we need to conclude wth we're doing in terms of the text so that I can push this forward asap.

In the meeting that Pen could not attend you I and ninja agreed with the t-shirt on with Dead Men Walking as it worked with the image.  We decided to put LAN XXX on as it would "age" them.  I think if we put a date on them that would do the same.  

I am happy with version 1 personally but if people have a issue can we get them addressed today please :)

Morning.

I think where we got to was that we were going with the graphic but not LAN XXX (I believe Pen didn't want that)

I like the your latest version TL. However, what would it look like with -=[dMw]=- ?. Two lines of text is overkill in my opinion.

Here's the wings version, but I'm not sure I like this version as much.   From a font point of view it does not balance well - i.e. the centre of the text image is not the centre of the 'M', so wherever you put it there is an element of 'lop-sided' to it.


So was the consensus version 1? (to avoid two lines of text - or am I misunderstanding your comment Ninja?)

I agree with you TL I was confused on the text. I like the idea of 2 lines - "Dead Men Walking"; "1996-2016"

I'll cast my vote for a single line then, which gives us a bigger logo and no dating of the polo.

I'll be closing the order book tomorrow and trying to submit the order by Tuesday.

We have 48 orders so far and I'd like to get over 50 (means a cost discount), so I've done a follow up email to everyone to remind them it is their last chance to order a polo shirt.   If we don't get 50 then I'll add a couple bought  by dMw which we can later sell to recoup the cost.

The design is being created now and should be with us for approval by the end of the week (they will photo the embroidered example) and if photo is not good enough they will post to us for approval.

Timescale for production seems fine with them.
