I've been watching the Star Citizen Gamescon 2016 Presentation. It's a look at SC Alpha 3.0 with some live in game action as played by two Devs sat up on the stage.

Utterly extraordinary. If the whole game looks and plays like the one mission they are playing through now, this will set a complete new benchmark for PC games. There really is nothing that even comes close to this. Still time for the whole $100 million thing to crash and burn but there's a really amazing multiplayer game beginning to appear now.

Hi Guys!

Sorry I haven't been around in months, but unfortunately some ongoing family issues are taking up most of my free time, but I managed to wangle this evening to watch the livestream and all I can say is: OH. MY. GOD!

When this game was first proposed, I had two visions in my head: one that matched existing sci-fi games in quality and gameplay but expanded to provide features along the lines of Wing Commander and Freelancer; the other, a dream of a game with a quality and depth and features that I could only hope one day would be possible.  Today, I saw the latter in all its glory, and I don't mind admitting to having a tear come to my eye seeing what I had envisaged come to life before my very eyes!

That's was amazing, I haven't watched anything about star citizen in a while and haven't been on it in ages so I am scared to see how big the next update is.

This is really nice to see tho the game is finally coming along at a great pace and it's starting to show, I haven't seen much of this for ages and am impressed by how much it's changed and has progressed. There is one big problem it have .... There is a sale ! This means I have to try and control myself and not by more ships but they all played and worked well in the game.

I need to get on this more but would love for some help on it as I don't have much time on there and think I might need some help flying the ships I have and to learn more about the game. I always find it better learning from a friend then just a wiki.

Done some spring cleaning and arranged my packages around. The latest additions do look good. Exciting to see the Rover finally making it in.

So sold some of my ships now i have more explorations ships then combat but i am quiet happy about that it seems even those ships thats aint made for fighting can really defend themselves against other ships. watching that freelancer in actions was amazing aswell seeing how it flies around and how it handles in battle.

Wish we got to see more of the rover in the gameplay but i guess watching it crash over and over again was good.

it's so cool looking at the fleet we have which right now is at 231 ships, and this might be a few off depending on if people have updated it recently. if each ship we had was only a one seater ship we would need nearly 4x the amount of poeple we have and thats only if the ships need one person in each ship to fully operate the ships.

This is probably the first footage I've seen, where it looks like the 'vision' is actually starting to become a reality. So that's exciting.

A long way to go yet, for sure, but I might actually get 3.0 downloaded and give it a try.....
