Daymar Rally

Hi guys!

I don't know how aware you are of this, but it's been around for some time and I thought it worth bringing to your attention.

What I'm talking about is the Daymar Rally - a player-run in-game event with teams of four people, who have to take a bike, or a buggy or a rover 300km across the surface of Daymar, passing through 3 checkpoints.

It's looking like a pretty well organised event so far!  I wonder if there will be a spectator option...

That's awesome, and some would argue, what Elite Dangerous is all about. Community created content, within the game with no link to story driven missions or other planned activities by the developers.

The buckyball race in Elite and the racers through canyons on planets were similar, obviously without space legs FPS.

I can't see dMw getting into this as it means well organising and actual numbers commiting to drive it outside the main game story. (Being a chancer here, prove me wrong!)

I'll get my greycat in whatever ship it'll fit into and get over there now! I'm fancying one of those bikes now, darn you Obsydian!

Brilliant, I haven't seen that before.   dMw team anyone?    I just got to remember where I parked my bike/buggy/rover/whatever!

I'm quite sure you can spawn the buggy at Arc Corp Mining Area 51 or one of the others on Daymar, so worst case you dont have to haul it on the back of my reliant!

SIGN ME UP but only as support I've not got a buggy! I'd be keen to follow as the news crew, my Reliant is a two seater if anyone wants to join the support vehicle...

Ah some good old ground racing in some amazing looking vehicles, now this looks like an awesome event. Will have to do a check on what vehicles I have but as far as I can think I have the rover I think and maybe the buggy but will have to do a look to make sure. I would love to look at taking part in this. Happy to tag with sith in the air or even be a driver. I am better on the ground then in the air and if need be, always happy to gun down the fellow racers :flirty:

Looks like a lot of effort had been put into this event which makes it looks even better knowing that the community are behind it.

I was on it for a bit today, checking out all the setting and trying to see how well I can make it run. Game look beautiful and liking the whole interface...also brought armour , just need to get me some guns now and then I will look at getting out in space and start flying again. Just need to re learn controls on my keyboard again. So you will see me on there sith, don’t you worry !
